Wow and Greetings family and friends!

I honestly cant believe that this is the last week. Time is just going by way too fast for me. This last week has been pretty good and we have been busy. We didnt have a baptism last week but this week we are planning for a lot. We are teaching quite a bit of people and they seem really good and should progress later on. We had four investigators in church yesterday and it was amazing. I love seeing the hand of the lord in all things. It was a blessing we had to be able to complete with our goals. Today we are going to have a baptism and it should be really good. I love this place and Im going to be sad having to leave it. But I know that its in good hands. The ward is growing and I hate to see it grow without me but its all for the good.

As for my comp and I we are doing good. We are working hard and things seem to be going good between us. Im the first comp that he is "killing", so its a new experience for the both of us. He is a little bit nervous for having control of the area but I know that he is going to work hard and improve it. As for me Im doing good. Im just trying to work hard this last week and I try not to think too hard in whats left. Things are going good. I just cant believe that this is my last letter to you guys. I still remember the MTC like it was yesterday. Time is just going by way too fast, but I guess that the way it is. I love this place and Im going to miss a lot. My knee is trying to hold on just a little bit longer, but its there. Today we had interviews with President Levrino and it was really good. He is a really good guy and I love how I can trust in him. We didnt talk to much today because he is waiting for my exit interview with him next week, crazy! Today he mentioned quite a few times the word marriage and it was really weird. We had a little training meeting before and to show an example on how to ask a question, He asked me "elder wade will you get married in the next month and a half" Everyone started laughing and he got a kick out of it. But things are going good. Today I spent most of the morning talking with the hermana that lives in front and also buying some stuff for you guys. So today is going good.

Hola y wow almost Halloween!‏

Well hello everyone and greetings from down south.

Well things are going good and they are progressing. This last week was very interesting like all first weeks of the transfer, but it was a good one. We worked hard and we found and tought quite a bit of people this last week. We found fourteen new investigators and they seem to be pretty good, we´ll see what happens in the coming weeks. We ended up teaching 34 lessons all week not including less actives. So it was really good and I loved it. Well we finally had our baptism this week and I was thrilled to finally have one. It was really good and you could feel the spirit really strong. Her name is Lidia R and she got baptised on Friday and confirmed on Sunday. Yesterday we only had one investigator in church. But things are going good and they seem to be getting better everyday.

For us down here the things are going good. My comp is a really hard worker and we get along alright. Its weird being with a latino after so long with gringos. But he is a good kid. He is the only member of his family and the youngest. So he is a big example of why he is out here. For me things are going good and they seem to getting better but faster everytime. This week we worked a ton and things went well. We worked hard everyday this week, that when we got to the pension we were wasted and super tired. It was a really good feeling to feel that way. I know that we are here doing the Lord´s work and He wants our all from us. The weather this week has been pretty crazy, first hot and then it gets cold and rains a little bit. Its really starting to bug me a little. With all this change in the weather I think that Im starting to come down with a little something. But I will push through it. This week we are looking at a couple more baptisms and I super happy for that. First we have to get some married and they have thier date for this Friday. Here you have to have witnesses and they choose me to be one of the witnesses. So Im getting ready for that. On Sunday we had a visit from a member of the seventy Elder Spitale, from Cordoba. It was really good and he talked about the goals that the area has for us down here. One of them is that there are more full time missionaries serving in Argentina from Argentina. It was good and he quoted Pres. Monson from two confrences ago saying that it is a commandment for us to leave on the mission. He also stated that we shouldnt have to think or pray if we should go or now. Its a command from God to leave. I was really good and I loved it. So thats the news that we have down here.

P.S- Halloween really doesnt exsite? down here, but I´ll eat a lot candy anyways!

Well hello everyone and greetings from good old Argentina!

Well this week was a good one and we had many things going for us. It was a full week of running around and trying to find and teach our investigators. We taught quite a few and they were all really good lessons. There are quite a few things going for us down here. We planned on having a baptism last saturday but we didnt have it because she ended up going to Salta at the last minute. So we have around 3-4 planned this week. Our investigators are doing good and we are helping them slowly but at least we are helping them. We should have one getting married this week so that she can get baptised this weekend. For the marriges down here you have so much paperwork to do and a lot of running around. But we should be getting them married this week. Yesterday we only had one in church, almost tw but he came late. But the one that came to church should be getting baptised this week as well. So as you can tell things are going good.

We you might be wondering what happend to us in the transfer. Sadly to say that my comp Elder Lessing got transferd to Tucuman. It was tough when we recieved the call saying that he was leaving. We both wanted to stay togeather for one more, but I guess the Lord had different thoughts over everything. So Im now with my last comp, Elder H from Chile. He seems like a good kid and has a ton of energy to work. So it should be weird because I´ll get to know him and then I leave. But its going to be fun. In our appartment we are two gringos, Elder A, from South Jordan, and me. And then two chilenos, my comp and elder R. Im happy because I will be able to work on my spanish some more before I come home. Im doing good and I keep pushing along here. Today my knee has been bugging me and I dont know why, but I´ll push through it. Last Saturday we had a confrence with Elder Aidukaitis of the seventy and it was really good. He is from Brazil but speaks spanish and english really well. He talked a lot on how us missionaries can become better and teach and baptise all the people that the lord has planned for us. I liked it and I learned a lot; which Im going to apply these last months. But things are going good and shall be getting better. Our neighbor´s dog still hasnt had her pups but they should come in the next coming weeks. Im excited for everything that is happening and thinigs are going good.

Sounds like you guys are doing good and your enjoying your summer almost winter weather. We just seem to be getting hotter and hotter. I love reading your letters and seeing the pics of everything. Thanks for everything that you do for me.

Well hello family and friends!!

Things are going good and they seem to be getting better. This week was a really good week for the both of us and I loved it. Our lessons this week were amazing and I loved everyone of them. We have quite a bit of people who are getting ready for baptism, for the most part. Most of them still have problems but we are working with them to get rid of them. But yet again ther were many different problems for us as well this week. This weekend was perfect to have investigators and we tried so hard to get them to come but only one came and we didnt even get to know him until saturday night. But for the most part our investigators are doing well and I guess we just need to find a little bit more of them to keep working well.

As for my comp and I we are doing good and we just keep on working hard. I love working with my comp and he is just a super stud. We keep working hard and pushing ourselves to get better. This week showed a lot of improvement in our teaching and I loved it. Im doing good and I just keep pushing myself to hold on. Things are going good and they seem to be getting better. This week was weird because with the confrence this weekend it pushed our scheduel a little weird. But it was all good. I loved watching the confrence and its going to be weird not seeing as a missionary. I was a able to watch the priesthood session in spanish and it was really good. I like being able to watch it in spanish and understand it, but for me its better in english. But it was really good and I liked it. I was able to see a lot of members from Perico that I havent seen for a long time. So I like it. But things are going good and I love it here. Today we helped the hermana that lives in front of us. We cleaned the garage and burned a lot of news paper. Its wierd because we burned the paper and trash in the street, not good but oh well. And while cleaning we found a foosball table in there and my comp and I had a preatty intense game. But thats about it.

I love to hear that you guys are doing good and that your enjoying your time up there. Just keep up the good work and enjoy your time. I love you guys and I miss you.

Well hello everyone and greetings from down south.

Wow can I say that its crazy how time flies when your busy doing good things. But things are going good and they seem to picking up. We continue to keep working and pushing hard to complete with the goals that president has set and may I say taht we are doing good. This week was another tough week but we did what we could and we did alright. We are still working with a lot of people to get them progressing towards baptism. We found some realy good investigators this week and they really want to get baptised. Then we are still working with some of our old investigators but things dont seem the same. We have a kid that is ready for baptism but we just have to teach him most of the stuff and get permision from his mom, but he is a good kid. Yesterday we had three investigators in church and they are super close to baptism. But things are going good and I am loving it down here.

As for my companion and I we are doing good and we are still working hard togeather. Honeslty my comp is such a stud and is amazing. I love working with him and he has so much energy to work and pushes me to have it too. We are doing good and Im loving it down here. Im doing good and I still try to push through the days. But things aregoing good for me. This week was really interesting because there is a guy here that is trying to convert us to the truth. It was interesting because he made us watch some anti-mormon movies and some other stuff like that. But other than that things have been normal down here, if you would call it normal. But things are going good and thats all that I can ask for. I super excited for General Confrence this weekend and I cant believe that its my last one here. But thats about it news down here.

Sounds like you guys are doing good and are loving the good old fall weather. The weather down here has been hot adn just seems to be getting even hotter. I love that you guys are doing good. Jayson good job on your games this week and keep it up. Dad and Jake I love the shirt ideas and it should go good. I love the new color of carrots, super weird. Well hello everyone and greetings from down south.

Well things are going good and things seem to be getting better. This week was a tough week and things didnt go quite as planned, but it was still good. We worked hard but we still didnt complete with a couple of the goals, but oh well. This week we taught a lot of people who have a lot of potential for baptism and with some we confirmed when they are going to get baptised. So things are looking up but its going to happen with some time. We have a family that we have been working with for some time now and the kids said that they want to get baptised and set a date in like four weeks. They are a really cool family and they love it all and things are going good with them. Yesterday we had three investigatros in church and I was happy about that. But things are going good and they seem to be improving. We are teaching some wonderful people but they still lack a little bit of motivation.

For my comp and I things are going good. We are working hard and we have a lot of excitment about everything. Our ward is improving a ton and things are going good. They have a lot of excitement because in a month or so Elder Christopherson is coming. We keep working hard and we are doing good togeather. Im doing good and I just have to keep pushing through. Today was a very relaxing but fun day. I have spent today in centro with Rodrigo. He came up and we had some fun chilling around centro. We ate some pizza, with corn, and played pool and then we also took some tours of some cool places. But it was a good day. The weather here has been crazy, super hot and then cold and raining. But things are going good down here.

Joe I just want to tell you good luck with the mission and I honestly believe that youre going to learn a lot and your also going to love it as well. Youre going to have some tough days in that youre going to be tired but dont give up and push forward. I love you bro and I wish the best for you there in Ohio. Work hard and never look back.

Well hello and greatings from down south.

So things are going good and things seem to be progressing. We are working extreamly hard these last weeks and it has been crazy. We have a lot of the same investigators that seem to be improving quite a bit. But things are going good and I love working here. This week was tough working with some of the members but in all it was good. We are working with some of the same families from the last weeks. We found some new investigators and they seem pretty good. But things are going good. Yesterday was a sad day for us because we didnt have any investigators in church. But we have some big goals this week. Most of our investigators are going through some rough times but we promise that these things can help. So we will see what happens.

Well as for my companion and I things are going good. He is still a stud and loves to keep working. He still pushes me to become better and I like that and it honestly helps me to see what I can do. Im doing good and I still keep going no matter what. I just cant believe how fast things are going and that its too fast for me. But Im doing good. I worked with Elder A. this week and it went well.He is a good missionary . So the appartment staid the same and things seem to be even more relaxed here in the pension. My comp and Elder Roca keep goofing around and its hilarious most of the time. Today was really relaxed but also very crazy at the same time. This morning we climbed the hill right behind our house and it has a huge cross on top. It was really cool and you could see the city. It was a cool hike and we basically made our own trail. But we enjoyed it. This afternoon we went to centro to see the other missionaries and we had some amazing ice cream. I had rasberry, mantecol, dont know how to describe it, like a peanut butter crisp, and some amazing italian chocolate. So things are going good and they sould be getting better.

Well it looks like we had a birthday yesterday..... Happy birthday Cierra wow 15 your getting old.I just wish I was there to throw eggs and flour at you, haha. But it sounds like you guys are doing good and that your enjoying your time. Jayson good luck with soccer and mom and dad and jake have fun with work. Well hello and greetings everyone from good old argentina.

Well I hope that your guys weeks are good and that your having fun. Things here are going good. This week was a tough week but it was very helpful for me to see what I can do to get better. We did well this week but it could have been betterbut at least we worked hard and got some things done. It was a crazy week for being the last week of the transfer and with stake confrence things just got thrown around. We are still working with some families that we have been and we found quite a bit more as well. We found a family that there son got baptised and served a mission and now lives in the states for more than 14 years. They are really cool and they like to listen. We have a couple more that are progressing towards baptism but they lack a little bit more. We have one that is really really close to being baptised in the coming weeks. He just needs to find his desear and follow it. But things are going good for us down here and we keep working hard, like usual. Yesterday we only had two investigators in church and they are two kids that we are teaching. They liked it and they want to go more. It was a really good meeting yesterday and they want to continue to progress so they want to do anything. Apparently in November Elder D. Todd Christopherson is coming down to jujuy to see how the work is going so everyone wants to make a good appearnce for him so we have our work cut out for us.

Maybe you are wondering what happened to my comp and I this transfer. So to let you guys know we are both staying here for anouther transfer. Im excited to be with him for one more, because we have a lot set up for this month and I really wanted to stay with him for one more. He is a good kid and loves working and Im glad to be his comp for one more. But we are doing good and Im doing good. Im doing good and I keep working hard. Im still district leader and Im excited to help my district for one more time. Its weird to know that I might actually end my mission here in Jujuy, I dont mind but its weird to know that its right there in front of me. But for now I just have to worry about whats going on at the moment and that the end will come in time. Honestly time is going by so fast and I almost dont like it and I wish it would go a bit slower. Its weird seeing everyone I know going home and knowing that its going to be me in a little bit, but oh well. This week was an interesting week and it was strange. Yesterday we got chased by a drunk guy for about five minutes and it was super weird and freaky. He kept yelling Gringo, Gringo and asked for money. But we got rid of him and went home a different way. But everything is cool know. Today was and continues to be interesting. We got a call from the zone leaders at five in the morning asking if we could go over to thier pension and stay with one of them. So we got over there about six but the front gate was broken shut so we couldnt get in the appartment. We finally got it open around seven thirty and I went directly over to the terminal and my comp stayed there with him. So Ive been running around town with Elder Silva and Elder Johnson all day and its been quite the ride. We got togeather with the other zone leaders and played some pool, air hockey and fusball. So ya thats it for us here at the moment. Sorry for writting so early.

I honestly cant believe that Im 21 now, but oh well and Greetings from down south!!

Well things have been pretty crazy this week, but it was a good one. We did a lot and we got a lot done. I think that this week was one of our best weeks, I loved it. We are still working with a lot of our investigators and some of them are closer than last time and some we have dropped. We are working with a lot of the same families and they are going good. The main family that we are teaching are progressing and they want to get baptized but they need to get married first. We found quite a bit of people and we taught quite a bit as well. Yesterday we had four people in church, three of them we were exptecting and the other we did not expect at all. But it was really nice and there were quite a bit of members there as well. But things went good this week and we are looking forward to this week being a good one.

We are doing go and we keep working hard here in Jujuy. My comp is pretty much amazing and keeps working hard like usual. This week was pretty hecktic and we ran all over the place. I did divisions with the zone leaders and then anouther companionship the next day. After that I was pretty dead tired and wanted to work in my own area. My comp and I worked hard this week and we completed with every goal except baptisms. We are looking to do it again this week and make bigger strides in everything. We taught 33 lessons this week and its the most that we have done here, I was happy. The weather here has been pretty crazy and pretty hot. It looks like we are in or going into summer, weird. There is wind but its a hot wind and it makes everything just misserable. But we still keep on pushing. In church I have a calling basically, music cordinator. So every sunday Im up front leading the music. Im learning to play the piano, so that may come in handy some time. You will never guess what I like now.... Peanut butter. I found it down here and every morning I eat some, wierd. Thanks for the package and I love it all, especially RUN FOREST RUN!! Today was interesting. We had a party/lunch with the family that lives in front. We made pizza and had a good time. Like every party, apparently I got hit with eggs, flour, and barbique sauce, it was mighty lovely. I got hit in the mouth with an egg and it cut up my gums a little bit, but its all good.

Well hello family and friends. I hope that youre all good!!

Wow, I cant believe that this last week went by this fast, too fast. But things are going good and we seem to be having some progress in a lot of areas. This week we had quite the week for us but it was a good hard week, but I felt good about it. We have many people who are progressing towards baptism but they lack just a little bit more. We taught and found quite a bit of people, so with most of the results I was happy with it. We have a few that are closer than others but they are all about there. Yesterday we had five people in church, I was happy. Sad thing is that we cant baptise a couple of them because theyre not married but we are working on that with them. I think the big problem is that most people dont get married because they think that they need a party or that there are a lot of people who get married and then a while later get divorced. So we have to tell them that its a commandment that we need to get married and there is no need for a party. But things are going good. We have an investigator that is amazing and we found here about three weeks ago and she is now in 2 Nephi in her reading, amazing!! So we have a lot going for us here in Jujuy.

And now as for my comp and I we are good. My comp is still doing good and still is pushing me to work hard these last months. He gets frustrated but he calms down and listens to help people. He is an amazing cook and he makes stuff out of nothing. This last week we didnt have lunch at all with any of the members, so we were by ourselves, but we survived. Im doing ok. This week was good and full of surprises for me, lots of them. My knee has been acting up but I just push through it and try to go on with it. I had to do a couple interviews this week and they went well and they got baptised. I worked with Elder Roca this week and it was like old times but better. But we are doing good and we keep going onwards. Today was a relaxing day and we did quite a bit. This morning my comp and I cleaned the whole pension, and its spotless. And then we are trying to fix a leak and we ended up having a fight we the plumbing, water everywhere. But it was a good day and a good week. Now I get to do divisions with two other companionships tuesday and wendsday in anouther area, what fun. But things are going good and seem to be getting better.

Well hello family and friends from good old Argentina!!

Wow I cant believe that this week ended and that we are starting a new week. This week was a good week for us here in Maiano Moreno. Things aregoing good and we seem to have some things going for us here. This week was a better week than last week and I was happy with what we did. We found quite a bit of people that like what we teach and want to learn more. So Im happy to see that there is some what of progress here. Yesterday we only had one investigator come to church, the only consistent one. See came last week with her kids and yesterday as well. They love church and the kids, ages 8 and 7, love it and ask if they can come back every sunday. They are a really cool family and they love it. The husband is a member but hasnt gone in years and we are teaching the wife and the kids. They want to get baptised but the only thing that is hindering them is that they arent married, but we are working on that. So things are going good and I like what is happening. President changed the goals of the mission and made it so that we are focusing more in the people we teach and actually want to help them. So things are going good.

As for us in other news, we are good. My comp still is a stud and keeps pushing me to get better and Im pushing him as well. We have a good companionship going here and I hope that we continue to work hard these next weeks. We keep pushing each other and the other elders as well. For me Im doing good and trying to keep up with my comp. I did divisoins on monday and tuesday last week with the zone leaders and it went well. I was with Elder Oviedo, from chile, and we got quite a bit of work done and I was happy. We taught an older man who is almost deaf and it went rather interesting. We basically screamed the whole lesson but I liked it and I had fun doing it. My knee is doing alright and Im trying to hold on. It gets tired faster and starts to get sore but I try to push through it and keep working and my comp is helping me a lot with it. This week we got contacted quite a bit but it wasnt normal; the majority of them were drunk and wanted to talk with us and try to help them. All that we can do is tell them that they need to leave the alcohol and grow closer to God. But this week should be a good week and hopefully better than last week. We have interviews with President this week and Im looking forward to them.

Sounds like you guys are doing good and that you are enjoying your time before school starts, for those who go to school. Uncle Brian get better and try not to be to friendly to those wasps, they have one here that will put you in the hospital for a while. Well greetings good old family and friends!!

I cant believe that time keeps on flying by here in Argentina. Things are going good and we seem to have some things going for us. This week was a tough week, but it also was a good one. It was a harder week for us but we worked through it and we got some work done. We had a hard time working and finding new people to teach but we have some plans to help with that. We only found one new investigator this week and I got somewhat frustrated. We are working with some really good people and they seem that they have a huge desear to change for the better. Yesterday we had four investigators in church, all we different ones from last week. We even had one stand up and give his testimony. It was super cool and surprising. My comp and I werent expecting it at all but it was really nice. He asked for help from the members in his journey, so it was really good. So we have some things going for us here in Moreno but it will be sometime I think. We have people that are progressing but it will take some time but its all good.

Well as for my campanion and I are doing, we are doing good. He is a stud and loves to work and motivate me to work. We work good as a team and I like being here with him. The thing about this area is that we dont have a lot of lunches, so we end up cooking here at home. And another good thing about my comp is that he loves to cook and is an amazing cook. Yesterday we, mostly him, cooked up some good chicken and dumplings. So Im learning a lot from him about different foods and how to make them. Im doing alright, but like usuall could be better. My knee is doing alright, but its starting to give me more problems. Yesterday I had to stop working because I couldnt walk anymore. But Im trying to take care of it but its all a matter of time I believe. Yesterday I ran into Rodrigo`s mom, Helita. It was so good to see her, she even said that I´ve gotten bigger, I dont know? But things are going good here.

Wow I honestly cant believe that we are now in August!! Greetings!!

Well hello family and friends and greetings from good old Jujuy! This week was a good week for all of us here in Jujuy. It was a good week but it had a few crazy trips in it as well. I love my new area and I believe that its going to be a good one. This area is in the middle class and its the first time that Im really, almost, in centro. We have quite a few investigators that look like they are making progress and are close to baptism. The are in reality is pretty small but the thing about it is its all on a hill. So everyday we are climbing or walking down the hill. So if you can tell my knee starts to get really tired towards the end of the day, but its all good. The craziest thing that I had to do this week was an interview. But it went well but she wanted me to baptise her, wierd, but I ended up baptising her. It was super wierd and kind of awkward, but it went well. But things are going good and they should be getting better here in Moriano Moreno.

Well as for my comp and I we are doing good. My comp is a stud and he loves to work and also have a good time. It was his birthday on saturday so we were trying to have a good time and we did. Today we celebrated his birthday with the member family that live in front of us. It was a good time and we ate asado, BBQ, and an awesome cake. The tradition here is to throw eggs, flour and whatever else at who ever is celebrating his birthday, so we did it to my comp. It was a blast and I took some pics so I will send them to you guys. As for me Im doing good. The interview was for the zone leaders, who are in my district, and they said that it was cool for them for me to baptise her. So I didnt even have a full week in my area and I was already baptising. But Im doing good and Im enjoying my time here in Jujuy. Our weather has been pretty crazy down here, first hot and then this weekend was super cold and raining. But it should be better this week.

Well hello everyone up north!!!

Wow I cant believe that we have completed anouther week here in Argentina. Honestly things seem to be going by way to fast but I guess thats life. But thisg week was really good for us here in Santa Ana. We worked hard this week and we got a lot of things accomplished. We have a couple of investigators that are progressing and a couple more that seem that they have more intrest in it all. This week we actually worked lot with some less actives and it seems that we could do some good with them. Most of them and they havent been to church in about a year. But things are going good and it seems to be becoming better. Yesterday at church we finally had an investigator in church. It was the kid that we´ve been trying to contact but we have the hardest time doing it. We almost had anouther one in as well, but her kid ended up getting sick and couldnt come. But we had more people in church and it was special because there were a couple that came back from the temple in Uruguay. So yesterday was good and we found a guy that even told us that we wanted to be baptised and join the church.

And as for us we are doing good. My comp and I are working good together and we seem to be progressing. On tuesday we did divisoins with the zone leaders and I was with elder Bendall from Utah. So it was a good time to be with him and I learned a lot from him. This week wasnt to bad but we had to make time to do things. We got invited to two different birthday parties and we only could go to one of them. It was the birthday of Fernando, a recent convert of 6 months. It was a good one and I talked for a while with one of his uncles who was semi drunk. It was interesting but I eventually started talking about the church and he changed the topic really fast. This week I have a leadership meeting this week with president and everyone else who is a leader. So that should be interesting and I bet that Im going to learn a lot. Im doing good and I keep working hard to keep going. My knee is alright and hasnt given me to many problems this week but it does everyonce and a while. Today we didnt do to much other than go to the offices and pick up the mail. After that we went to the church in Tribuno, other area, to play sports. I didnt do much other than serve some volleyballs and play volleyball. But ya things are going good and seem to becoming to end for the transfer. We have transfers next monday but I dont think anything will happen but who knows.

Well hello everyone both family and friends!!

I honestly cant believe that we are now in July and that this first week is now over, crazy huh?! Well this week was actually a really tough week for all of here in Santa Ana. We lost a lot of time with meetings this week but I think that we did what could this week with the time that we had. We had a hard time finding people and getting people to keep listening to us, but we are getting things fixed. Yesterday at church we didnt have anyone in church and for members we only had just over 25 people there. I really dont understand anything about this, because yesterday morning wasnt cold at all, but oh weel. But things are going good for us here in Salta. Our members are alright and are starting to help a little bit more but its still like pulling out teeth with a couple with them. But that was about that for us here during the week.

Well as for us we are doing good. This week we had a few meetings with the new president. On wendsday we had interviews and on thursday we had zone confrence with the other zone in Salta. The interviews were good and it was very interesting. He doesnt know too much english so the interviews were in spanish, it wasnt bad though. And then on thursday we had the confrence and it went really well. We talked about on how we can get things better in our mission. Afterwords we met some of his family. He has five kids all under the age of 15, so pretty young. His wife is nice and likes to be involved. They both know about my knee and it was the first thing that they asked me when they talked to me. So Im glad that Im being taken care of. But with both of these meeting we had really short time to work. Talking about my knee its going ok and everyonce and while it gives me problems. But with this warmer weather its not too bad but it gets super tired. Today was a really good p-day. We climbed the hill that is close by here. Its actually a huge turist atraction, so we saw a ton of people speaking english, super weird. But it was a good hike and I took some cool pics. When we got on top you could see all of Salta and there was some cool water falls on top. But thats about it for things that are going on.

Sounds like you guys are doing good up there. Sounds like we are almost in the same temps, it doesnt even feel like winter anymore. Good luck dad with all that you have and with everything else. Well greetings my family and friends!!!

Wow I honestly cant beleive that its almost July, just this week. Time just keeps on going by but its going good for me. This week was a good week and full of crazy stuff to do. It felt like it was a longer week but it felt like it went by fast as well. It was a full week full of events and meetings. For work it was a harder week than usual, but still good. We found quite a few people this week that seem that they have desears to learn more about the gospel. The hard thing was getting our members to start to work with us a little bit more. Im basically tired of our ward mission leader, he is a good kid in all but lacks quite a few things. He is basically wasting our time but I guess we need to find more to work with but it would be nice to have a good ward mission leader. We worked a lot and got some success. Yesterday in church we had one kid that is investigating there. He is most likely our closest baptism in this area. But things are going good and will keep getting better.

Well as for us we are doing good. My comp is doing good and keeps improving in his work ethic. This week we had divisions with the zone leaders which was fun. I went to the zone leaders area to work with Elder Barraza. It was a fun time and I learned a lot from him on what I can do here to help my area. Im doing good but my knee is starting to give some more problems, especially with the cold. But things are going good for me. Yesterday I was sick for a little bit and I had no energy to work and to do anything, but I worked. The weather keeps getting colder here and it might snow in the comming days, who knows. We had our final confrence with President and Hermana Northcutt. It was a really good one and it was kind of sad that it was thier last. President talked a bit and shared some personal experiences on how God had awnsered his prayers. It was really good and we took a lot of pics with them, so I will send them. Today was a good day for me because I got to see Rodrigo. It was a good time with him and we talked a ton. Elder Dibb and his comp were with us and we did some fun stuff. We went and boweld with him and he loved and didnt do so bad. It was a good time with and I loved seeing him. I was happy this week because as a district week completed with two of the goals, so we are probressing and Im supper happy. So that was basically our week for you.

I love you guys and Im happy for everything that you do for me. Sounds like you guys are doing good and are enjoying your summer weather as we slowly get colder. I love you and I wish the best for you.

Well hello and greetings my friends and family from the good old Argentina!

Hello everyone and wow its June. I cant believe that we are now into June and that the time is just going by fast. But things are going good for us down here in Santa Ana. Well lets start with the news about the area.... things are going good, but lack a lot until its going to be strong. But things are now going into place and we are seeing a difference. We have some things going for us here in our area but its going to be awhile until we have a baptism. Today I talked with President and he said that our area is hard and that the work we are doing is great. And that we are not going to see most of the results while we are here but in the future if we leave it good this area is going to be a really strong area. So that gave me some energy to keep working and pushing along. Its tough here but its not impossible for us to complete. Yesterday we didnt have any investigator in church and very little members as well. We still have a little bit of our investigators that are progresing, but not as fast as we would want. Apparently everyone has thier own time here, so Im learning patience with everyone. But things are going good and we are starting to focus a little bit in an area that is really poor and humble, so I hope that we get some success there. The thing is sometimes is that the people dont want to change and or they are really lazy, but they are good people.

And now for some news on us. We are doing good and my comp and I continue to get along and we learn more from each other each day. Elder Stevenson is a good kid and has tons of energy to do stuff. Im still trying to be an example to him and show him how things are done. Im starting to give him a bit more control with stuff, just to make him feel comfortable and willing to work. And as for me things are going good here. These week has just been crazy with a ton of stuff going on. We are still planning the activity and we got lucky because there are two holidays that we can choose from to do the activity. But the hard part is planning on what we are going to do. But we have several ideas that we are thinking about. This week I did divisions with Elder Luthi and we got quite a bit of stuff done, but in his area. My knee has been giving me some problems this week. I dont know if its because the change in the weather but it has been bugging me. But its not too bad to keep me from working. The weather here has been nice and seems a lot like fall. But things are going good and should be getting better. I honestly cant believe that its now June and that May is now over. Time just seems to be going fast here and its going faster. We have transfers this comming week but I dont believe that we will change. But thats about it for us here in Santa Ana.

Wow anouther week has now gone by and it seems to be going faster.

Well things here are going good and are slowly improving. Well this week has been pretty crazy and hectic. It was a rough start for the week and things were really hard to get, but we got most of them. My comp and I have been working hard and we have been getting used to each other. This week was anouther hard week to find new people to teach. But we are making plans to make improvements and to improve the area. We have a couple people that are improving and the only thing that they lack is to come to chruch. One of the members said this week that she has been praying to see people in church. And we finally had someone come, and we werent expecting them. It was a teacher and said that his son wants to learn more. So we went over and taught his son after lunch. It was a good lesson and he even accepted a baptismal date!! So that was basically the highlight of the week. I just hope and pray that this week gets even better.

Well as for my comp and I we are doing good. I can see an improvement in the way my comp acts and works. Im super happy to be with him and to help him improve and make a progress in his mission. He said that he hasnt felt this comfortable working since his trainer. So Im glad to have made that impact on him. And about me things are going good. My knee hasnt been giving me to many problems and I feel better. This whole week I was basically sick but today I feel ten times better. I finally have my voice back but I have a cough, but I guess thats a good thing. I guess a crazy thing that happend is that every sunday I get attacked by the same dog everyweek. Its a members dog and its a big young Rottweiler, but it just wants to play. But things are going good and should be getting better. Today was a good relaxing day. This morning my comp and I we went to the offices and picked up some things, I still havent gotten you package. But after that we went to Mcdonalds and ate some good old hamburgers. I honestly got stuffed, but it was all good. The only choice of drink that they have is Coke so thats what I had, thought you would like it dad. But things are going good down here and Im loving it up.

Im glad to see that everyone is doing good and is enjoying thier time. Jake congrats on getting the job and good luck with that, at least its not fast food. Mom I forgot but happy Birthday!!! Wow 42!!! crazy how fast time flies. I love you all and Im glad that you all had fun with Jakes graduation and everything. Good luck everyone!!!

Well hello and wow anouther week in the books here in Salta.

Honestly things havent been normal at all this week and it was really weird. This last week was a really tough week and we worked harder than ever to get stuff done, but we did. We taught a lot of people and we found quite a bit of people and some even accepted baptismal dates,yay!!! But sadly none of them came to church yesterday, "too cold." But it was a good week and quite rewarding if I say so myself. We are still working with some families that we found a couple weeks ago. We have a couple that are moving towards baptism but very slowly,but I guess everything has its time in the mission. But thats about it for this last week.

Well with the mission changing, there have also been some changes between elder Grzelak and I... emergency transfers. Well apparenty there were some nessary changes and my comp and I were effected by them. I am now with Elder Stevenson from California, Riverside. They told us this morning about the transfers and they told Grzelak that he had to pack everything and leave today as soon as possible. So this moring was super crazy and full of crazy stuff. But we are going to see what happens the rest of this transfer. Im going to miss Grzelak, him and I got a long amazingly and we were doing stuff that hasnt been done here in Santa Ana in almost a year, so he is going to be missed. We had our first district meeting only as a district and we also celebrated Elder Ward´s birthday, and elder Luthi made the cake, chocolate with dulce de leche in between and a banana cake on top with frosting, super goood! But things are going good just crazy with all the changes and everything. The ward is doing good and we are planning to do an activity in the coming month, because honestly the ward needs it, unity. Oh ya today we ordered a pizza and they said that it would come in fourty minutes and it ended up coming about an hour and a half later, I was frustrated. But thats about it for us here in Santa Ana.

Well hello family and friends up north!!

Well can I say that it has been a crazy week for us down here. We had a pretty good week but as always it could have been better. Well we didnt have our baptism because her family took to Tartagal, a city up north about 5 hours from here. But I really dont know what is going on with her. You can kinda tell that her family is kinda opposing the whole thing, but we just need to talk with her. Other than that things went well. We completed with most of our goals and we seem to have things going here. But the only thing hard for us is having people come to church, but we are working on that. We didnt have anyone come but I hope that this weekend we do. But things are going good, but I just cant believe that they are going this fast.

Well as for my comp and I we are doing good. This week was not as hard as I thought it would have been, for easter and everything. Its kinda funny to see that its about the only time that people here go to church. Basically this whole week was a holiday for everyone, the whole Holy Week. But it went well. AS for me Im doing good. My knee has been giving me some problems but its doing alright. This week has been interesting to see all the reactions to everyone. Its about the only week that people really "think" about christ, sadly. And we saw some many different views of everything. During lunch we saw a couple movies about christ and they both showed different views, especially baptism. But it was a good week for everything. Our weather has been really nice this week and you can really tell that its almost winter. The nights are getting chilly and there is some wind, but I cant complain. Well this week is the last week of the transfer, crazy huh? Its going by way to fast for me. Today we went to the mission ofices and I talked with the Hermana Nortcutt. Its so weird that they go home in just over six weeks. Today was fun and we didnt do a ton. I guess the only thing we really did was play tennis. I played a little bit but not hard. But ya that was about it.

Well it sounds like you guys are doing good and are enjoying the spring time. Im sorry to here about Aunt Laurna I hope that she gets better. Well I honestly hope that this one works.

Well sorry for last week. The Cyber that we went to didnt work to well and I couldnt get anything through, so thats why I didnt write, sorry. But everything is going good and Im enjoying this area. Well these last two weeks have been pretty good and we have been working pretty good together. We have had some success finding new investigators and having the ones we have progress. I guess the hard thing here is having investigators get to church. Last week we only had one in chruch and yesterday we didnt have anybody at conference. It has been tough but its been fun. We have a couple people that are progressing towards baptism. We have a baptism planned for this week. Here name is Celeste and is 18 and is the cousin of a member. She is really cool and loves everything. We are trying to see her desire to be baptized. I believe that she will do it. But other than that we dont have a ton. But things are going good down here in good old Salta.

Well now time about us!! Well my comp is Elder Grzelak and he is from Buenas Aires, last name is polish. He is a stud and loves to work. He has about 7 months in the mission, but he knows how to work. I live in an apartment with two other elders, Elder Luthi, Florida, and Elder Orê, from Peru. We live on the fourth floor so its always a climb up. Our area is Santa Ana and is the south part of Salta capital. It is actually a pretty small area, but we have a couple of areas that are just outside that we have to go in Bus. But it is a good area. The people area great and very loving. So Im looking forward to see what happens here. Well Im doing good just loving and enjoying life. We watched all five sessions of confrence, and they were amazing. Both days some of the members brought us lunch and we ate it between sessions. Its nice because us, the gringos, we have a room all to ourselves to watch in English. I loved the conference and I just hate that it goes by way to fast. Its cool to hear that they announced another temple in Idaho, I guess that will be number five, yay. But things are going good. Well today for our Pday we went to a place called Campo Quijano and chilled as a zone. We didnt do much but we still had fun. Since I couldnt do much I sat and help cook and we played UNO and Monopoly but in cards. It was fun to chill with the zone. Afterword we went to Libertad and went bowling, but I played pool and Air hockey with Elder Luthi. It was fun and the weather has been great down here. It hasnt been too hot or to cold but you can tell that its starting to cool down, almost winter! But things are going good down here and Im loving it.

Well it sounds like you guys are doing well and enjoying your lifes. Congrats Jake on getting off the crutches, I bet you were happy to get off them. Well hello everybody.

Well things down here are going good and should be getting better. Well this week we didnt have a baptism but we are looking forward to having one this weekend. But things are going good. This week was a little bit better about the numbers but we could still do tons better. But it was an interesting week in its self. I dont know whats going on with not being able to find new people but I guess we will figure that one out in a while. But this week was a good week. We had 4 investigators and I was happy with that. And then we had a visitor that lived here forever ago and then got married and moved to the states and we were talking with him and he gave us a ton of refrences about different people that would be willing to listen to us. So that was really good and so things are slowly getting better.

Well as for Elder Schreiner and I we are doing good. Elder Schreiner keeps getting better everyday and its cool to see him progress. He is getting breaver and is teaching more of the lessons. Well as for transfers we are staying together for one more, so Im happy. I wanted to stay and to be with my comp and help him a little more. Well as for me Im doing good. My knee is giving me some problems and I hate that, but oh well. And then I just got frustrated about a couple things but sunday I just blew it off and got felling better. So Im doing better now. The visitor that we had now lives in Portland and is the vice president of verison. So it was really cool to get to talk to him and get to know him. But things are going good here and as always should be getting better. Well our weather down here has been weird. Its kinda like Rexburg, can never make up its mind. One day it was hot and supper muggy and then the next day it was overcasty and rainy. There was a day that it rained a ton that it flooded the streets and it was supper hard to cross. And right now it looks like its trying to rain or will rain later today.

Well I dont know whats going on with you guys but I hope that everything is alright. Im sorry Jake about your knee. Some times life just gives us crap and we dont know what to do, but that scrip is one of my favs. Keep working hard and everything will be alright. I always wonder how is it that the yonger brothers always seem to one up the olders, dang it. But Im fine with this one!! Good luck with everything. I love you all and I hope the best for you.

Well hello everyone!

Well I cant believe that its now 2011 and that time is going by way too fast, but oh well. Well this week was interesting but it went by fast. So my comp left monday morning and then I was with Elder Ward, from Bountiful, and Elder Araya, from Chile. And I worked with them for untill wendsday and then my comp came. So his name is Elder Schreiner from Springville, Utah. He is a stud and speaks spanish pretty well. So this week we had four in church and that was awesome and we are looking forward to some baptisms this transfer. So this week was intersting because my comp isnt used to speaking and talking in spanish a whole bunch so I ended up teaching most of the lessons, but that was alright with me. But our investigators are doing great and there are a couple that are progressing a ton. We are teaching this kid named Jose and his mom and when we went over for the first time to teach he basically told us that he knew that this church is true and that he wants to get baptised. So we are stooked to be teaching him. So things are going good here in Cabildo, which is good.

So for me and my comp we are doing good. So Elder Schreirner is a stud. He speaks really good for how much time that he has and he loves to work and wants to learn more. So he is cool and super tall. He is about 6´5 and so its quite the sight to see two gringos a short cowboy and a tall blonde kid. But he is a stud and Im proud to be his trainer. As for me things are going good and Im learning some new things everday. So for new years this year was weird. We had to be in the pension at 8 at night before everything got crazy. And then we planned and then order some food and stayed up and watched the fireworks on top of the roof, just like christmas. So for me it felt like the same holiday, except there were more drunks during new years. But ya so that was that. And I guess this week on the 6th is the day of the three wise men, so that should be interesting. But things are going good here and Im loving it, except for the heat, its killing but my comp a little bit more. But ya. Just being with my comp reminds me of when I was first starting and getting used to everything, I love it.

Well it sounds like you guys are doing good and enjoying that nice cold up there. So ya that earthquake we didnt feel a thing but we did hear about chile, thats sad for them. But we didnt feel a thing. Sounds like you guys have your handsful with everything but that your also enjoying it. Well I dont know what happend but I dont have to much to say to today. Oh ya dad we have church at 9 in the morning, so about 5 in the morning your time. Well I love you and I wish the best new year and that you accomplish what you want this year. Well hello everybody!
Well it was sure great talking with you guys even if it was just for a little bit. But I loved it. Well things are going good here and should be interesting this week. Well yesterday in church we had two investigators come and they said that they loved so we were happy to see them. We have been working with them for a while and it was great progressing in thier part for them to come to chruch. But it was good and then we spent most of the night with my comp saying goodbye to everyone. It was tuff for him to say goodbye but its good for him. And he will get used to it. other than that things are going good and this week should be really interesting.
Well as for me right now Im doing good. This morning we got up and I took my comp to the terminal at 7:30 and waited with the zone leaders untill the other elders came from the pension. Then we got Elder Ward´s new comp, Elder Araya from Chile. Then we went back to the pension and then went shopping and then just chilled until about now. But ya Im doing good and just waiting to get some news about my comp. From what I heard from Elder Michealson, the secretary, they wont leave Salta until about 3-3:30 and then its about seven hours so I wont probably get him until tuesday night or wendsday morning. So ya just playing the good old waiting game. So for tonight and tomorrow I will be working with the other elders. But ya just looking forward to see what happens.
Well it was sure great to hear from you all and to hear how you are all. Sounds like you guys are great and having fun and enjoying the good old cold and snow. I wish we had snow, its about 120 right now and Im sweating like crazy. Well like you guys said I dont have to much to say since we talked the other day. And mom I would also like some socks also thanks! But I love you all and I miss you and I cant believe that I only have one more call and thats in four months. Thanks for everything.

Well hello everybody and Feliz Navidad!!!

Well I honestly cant believe that this time is finally here. Its gone by way to fast for me. Well this week was good but not good in the same way. This week was by far one of my hardest weeks here. It started out good and then went completly bad. We only completed with one of the goals and the rest we didnt even come close. We only had three new investigators for the week. We were knocking basically all week and didnt get a single thing. All the people that we found said that they didnt want to listen and shut the door in our faces. But we are hoping that this week will be ten times better. But we have some people that are somewhat progressing and moving to baptism but it doesnt look like we are going to have any this transfer. All the people that we are teaching have a hard time coming to church but always have friends of members that always come, whats the deal here. But its going good and things should be getting better this week.

Well other than that things are going good for me and my comp. Elder Roca is doing good and is learnig alot, I guess the thing now that he does that bothers me is that he is always complaining about everything. But I just try to ignore it and just work. But he is doing good. As for me I could be better but theres not much I can do. My knee is about the same and doesnt seem to be getting bettter or worse. Other than that things are good. Like I said before things havent been so good. Now I know how you felt dad when we made fun of you being bald. I was walking in the street and there were a bunch of people and they started calling be baldy and then just started laughing, so I know how you feel now. But I dont care anymore its just a thing that I have here. Last friday we had zone confrence and it was awesome. It was good to see president and the Hermana. At the end we had a Christmas presentation and it was awesome. President was reading parts from the bible and there were some of the elders acting it out. So it was special and you could really feel the spirit during it. So that was about the only good thing that happend. But eveything is going good here and should be getting better. I dont know what we are going to do for christmas, other than call. So I let you know next week.

Well it sounds like everything is going good for you guys up there and that you are enjoying the cold. Oh this week we got to about 110 degrees this last week and it was hot. I wish we had snow, I miss it. But it sounds like you guys are fine, other than Jakes chin, thats sucks sorry bro. And Grandma Wade I did get your email, thanks a ton. Well hello family and friends.

Well things were pretty crazy this week. But it was a good week. Elder
Roca and I worked hard this week to complete the goals and we
comlpeted with most of them. But we did it. So we started to teach a
bunch of young kids that are getting involved with everything and they
say that they want to listen to the lessons so we are happy and we are
getting a lot of help from the members to teach with us. So things are
going good. I dont know if we are going to have a baptism this
transfer but we are trying hard to get one. Just the thing is nobody
wants to come to church. So ya we are working with that. But things
are looking up and should be getting better.

Well as for me and my comp we are doing good. Elder Roca is getting
better but is starting to complain about the heat, so thats kinda
bugging me but I think he´ll get used to it in time. But he is doing
good. Well the big thing this week was my knee. So I finally got my
results and nothing was really bad just a few things with my miniscus,
but the doctor says that all I have to do is push through it. So thats
what Im doing. Dont worry on sending anouther brace I bought one and I
dont like the thing, it bugs me and it gets really uncomfortable. But
oh well. But if it gets worse they say that I can get a shot that will
take the pain for about a month, so we will see what happens. But
things are going good and I cant believe that time is going by so
fast. But its going good.

Well it sounds like you guys are doing good and enjoying the cold
weather. I wish it would be a little cooler because its getting
hotter. But sounds like you guys are enjoying the seasons and
everything that comes with it. I miss you guys but I know that Im here

Well hello family.

Well hello everyone and I cant believe that we are almost in Dicember, it goes by way to fast. I honestly cant believe that two weeks have gone by here in Santiago. But things are going good. This last week we worked hard and completed all of the goals that we had set, so I was happy. In church was a little bit different but it was good. We had four kids that we didnt know show up for church and we found out that they are friends of two member kids, so that was really nice. Then all this week we were working hard but most of the appointments that we had fell through but we somehow improvised and did well. So it was a good week this last week. We have a couple people that are slowly improving and I like that. Last night we taught a lady and we talked and read 3 nephi 11 with her and she loved it and then we left The Testaments with her to watch with her husband, I just hope everything goes good with them. But everything is going good and Im slowly getting the hang of everything.

Well as for me and my comp we are doing good. Everday we learn from each other and we are doing good. I can see him improve everyday and how he gets more confidence when he talks. But he is doing good. As for me things could be better. I went to the doctor wendsday and he was playing with my knee and he moved it a certain way and boy did it hurt, and after I reacted he told me that I most likely had a ligament tair and was working on my miniscus, so I wasnt happy after that. Then I had an appointment thursday for a MRI and then when I was there they told me that they didnt accept my card so I had to come back the next day and do it. So I went back and paid for the MRI and while I was waiting the doctor came out and told me that they couldnt do it because the Air conditioning broke so I arrainged for anouther time for saturday. Finaly on saturday I did the MRI but they told me that I wouldnt have the results until tuesday night. So tomorrow I will find out what has happend with by knee. So most of this week I have been frustrated with everything. But other than that things are going good. This morning we didnt do a whole lot we went shopping then we cleaned the pension. then Elder Brisolara and I got bored and built a golf course in the pension, it was fun and I ended up winning. But other than things are going good and time is going fast.

Well it sounds like you guys had a great thanksgiving and did a lot of fun things. Dad sounds like your getting your time on the radio and having fun. I love you guys and I love getting you letters and reading how you are. Thanks for all of the support. Good luck with everything.

Well hello family and friends and what a week it was.

Well this week was a week full of crazy surprises. Well this week was a good week in almost all aspects. Well working this week with my new comp was interesting. You can tell that he has a little bit of time but not a lot. He is a good worker but needs just a little bit of motivation here and there. You can tell that he doubts a lot of things he does, but that will change with time. Well the area here is good and big also, but not as big as Manantial. In our church we have a branch and a ward and we are responsible to work in the two, so we will see how that goes. The members are nice and like to help a little here and there. Well the thing here is the people are known to be lazy and not want to do anything, so it will be fun and try to work with this. The people are really nice, nicer than tucuman, sometimes. We have a really rich neighborhood in our area and its tuff to work sometimes because the people aren´t to humble, but oh well. But other than that things are going good here in Cabildo.

Well as for my comp and things are going good. He is a stud and knows how to work but I dont understand him half the time becasue he mumbles, so I will try to break that. But he is good. We live in a pension of 4 and we live with two other gringos so its mostly english half the time. But the others are cool. Well as for Santiago things are good. Its starting to get hot and they say it gets hotter like 120-130, so I will probably die of heat down here. But its good. Well as for my knee Im just a little more that frustrated with everything down here. I went in on friday to get it checked out and the doctor I was supposed to see left while I was waiting and wasnt going to come back until wensday, so they told me to come back latter to do some testings. So I went back and I told them what was going on and that I thought it was something with the ligaments. So they had me do a X-ray, that shows nothing but bone. So they got the results back and told me that nothing was wrong and that I needed to by a anti-inflamitory. So I was a little more than frustrated, but this week Im going to see a different doctor in a different place and see what he says. So I will let you know. And they might want to do a MRI and that costs about 700-800 pesos, 150-200 dollars. Just to let you know. But ya other than that things are going good.

Well its sounds like you guys are doing good and are enjoying the SNOW!! How lucky you guys are. But ya I recieved the package and I looiing forward to getting the other. But it sounds like you guys are good. Enjoy thanksgiving thursday, I dont know what we will do. But I love you guys. Have fun

Well hello family and friends!

Well as you all know this week is the big week for me 1 YEAR!!! Wow time flies by. But things went good and should be getting better. Well for work was good this last week we accomplished a lot of our goals except we with people in church, we had three. Well we had four but she didnt stay for sacrement, but oh well. But other that than that. Well before I go on I should say that Ive been transferd. But the Elders there are going to have at least two or three baptisms. Im kinda bummed but thats the way things work in the mission. But things were going good in Manantial. And Im excited to work in my new area.

Well as you know now Ive been transferd and Im now in Cabildo in Santiago Del Estero. Its a city just outside the capital so Im kinda of close to capital. And with the new transfer, new area I am now Senior Comp!! my comp is Elder Roca and he is from Chile and only has three months in the mission so Im his step-papi. Crazy huh. when I found out I was shocked and didnt know what to think but I hope things will be good. But of course Im kinda scared cause I dont know if I know what to do and take control. So I guess it will come with time. But it looks like its going to be a good transfer and Im excited. I live in an apartment with anouther companionship, but the appartment is pretty small but for the most part clean. But it was hard leaving Manantial. The ward announced that I was leaving right when church was getting over and there were many people that we surprised and sad that I was leaving. It was the primary program so I didnt have time to share anything so I said good bye and everything while the people were leaving. Its just crazy that I was there for six months and that it felt like 4 but oh well. I have a feeling that Im going to be here for awhile too. But the thing is that its almost summer and it gets to about 125-130 sometimes here in Santiago, so I might go home burnt and black. So we will see what happens in time. But Im excited and nervouse for the things that are going on. Also I havent done anything for my knee yet. Hermana Northcutt whated to wait until after transfers to do anything so I will most likely go to the doctors here in Santiago. And I will keep you posted on whats going on.

Well it sounds like you guys are doing good and enjoying the cold oncoming winter, with all the snow and everything. But it sounds like you guys are having fun. Dad I love the beard, but you have a lot of grays in there, sorry. Jayson good luck with the wrestling and take care of you arm, you need that. Mom have fun with school and everything else. Well seasons greetings from down south!

Well things were good this week in about everything. The only thing that I
dont like is that its passing too fast. Well the work this week went pretty
good. This last week was full of crazy stuff and fun stuff also. Well as for
the work we had a full week. We had lots of citas with a lot of our
investigators and it seems like they are progressing well and we
should have a couple baptisms in two weeks. Then we went to Lules to
do some service for Luigi. He hasnt been living there for about a
month and so the grass and everything is really high, so we went and
cut it for him. And in Argentina its completly different to mow the
lawn. You do it with a machete and a wanabe electric lawn mower. But
it was fun and we did most of it. But things are going good. Yesterday
we had 4 investigators in the chruch and they seemed to love it. Then
we spent about 3-4 hours knocking doors looking for new investigators.
And we only entered into one door and it was the last one we knocked
and she was pretty cool. She is a 60 year old lady from Germany. So it
was pretty cool to talk with her other than she is super catholic. But
things went good.

As for me and my comp we are doing good and enjoying our time
togeather. Well I honestly cant believe that this week is the last
week of the transfer, so maybe that means that someone is gone. But
you never know. And I cant believe that Elder Rose and Elder Donaldson
go home in one week, THats crazy. I was thinking and I was Elder
Rose´s comp when he had 14 months and now he is going home, wow time
flies. But its all going good and Im enjoying my time. Well this week
I didnt get to work with my comp too much. We did divisions wendsday
night to do a interview and then thursday we did divisions with the
Zone leaders and I finaly returned to Manantial Friday morning. So
that was kinda long couple days but it was all good and I learned a
lot. But the thing is that the weather is changing and its getting
hot. It starts getting hot around 9 in the morning and by 2-3 in the
afternoon its unbareingly hot. It gets around 80-85 and its not summer
yet. And they say that it gets up to 120 sometimes and this is with
humidity. I dont like it at all. But I guess I will get used to that
for sometime. But things are going good and I plan on working hard.
Well I talked with the doctor in Buenas Aires, for the missionaries,
about my knee and by the way its acting he said that I might have a
ligament tair so I have to go get it checked out this week. So I will
keep you updated.

But it sounds like you guys are doing good and are enjoying your time.
I love the pics and wow things change so much in a year. So who is the
baby in the photo with Jake. and Jake you looked great and have fun
with the student body. Dad have fun doing all the sound and work hard.
Mom just relax and everything will be alright. Like Bob Marly said,

Well hello everyone.

Well things went good this last week and we had quite the week. Well to start off we had the baptism on Friday and it was amazing. There were only five of us there to do it. It was what Luigi wanted and so we did it. It was amazing and you could really feel the spirit there. So other than the baptism the week was like normal. We had a kid that was getting ready to on his mission helping us for most of the week. As for people that we are teaching. We have some people that are progressing and getting close to baptism. Well yesterday we recieved a refrence on the almost daughter in law of one of the members and so we went over and taught her and she said that she wants to get baptised so we put the date for the 20th of November. So we have things that are going good here in good old Manantial. Other than that we are still teaching some of the people that we had and we have anouther that is close but has a lot of doubts of everything but we are slowly resolving each of her questions. But other than that things are going good and we are looking forward to some more baptisms.

Well as for things that have happend in this last week. Well monday night after we were done teaching and the almost elder was helping us, decided that he needed a hair cut so what did we do. We sat him down and cut his hair. He thought that it was too short but its not realy short and his parents loved it. And now the kid is on his way to the MTC in Peru. And other than that things were pretty chill. Well one thing that happend is that we were living off of twenty pesos, thats like almost 5 dollars. For one week we werent buying anything and we did pretty good if I say so my self. We had a lot of help from some of the members. But things went good. Well I cant think of anything else that happend this week. It was pretty chill this last week. Well we are going to have interviews with president this week. So that will be pretty fun. I love the interviews and to get to talk with the Hermana. But things are going good and should be improving. And Dad I havent hit a year yet! Oh ya also on saturday one of the members took a pic of the top of my head and then started to laugh and then I saw the pic and noticed that my hair is really really thin up top so that is the new joke in the ward now. But oh well.

Well Im glad that you guys are doing fine and enjoying your time. Jake sounds like you did good a state and ran hard. Well now you got wrestling ahead and that should be awesome. Dad thanks for the photos they were great and Jake I didnt know that you cut your hair that short. And dad sounds like that concert was good and ya you should start running, I should too. Well hello and time flies by so fast!

Well I honestly cant believe that I have 11 months and its going so fast! Well this last week went by flying and were good. Well this last week started normal and went good. Well this week there was a meeting with all the leaders and the president. So my comp went and was taught how to be a better missionary and things we can use in our areas. So while he was there we did divisiones with the elders in anouther area, Monteros. So I was with Elder Swenson for wendsday to friday. He is pretty cool and really new. He is from Spanish Fork and so we talked about things we did at home and everything. And we worked pretty hard during that time. I can totally tell how my spanish was when I had his time and boy has it changed. But it was a good time and we are also working a ton with the young men in the ward to get them ready to serve. So we have a ton of help about everyday so thats awesome. But ya things went good this but we only had two investigators in church yesterday and not a whole lot of members.it kinda sucks when a there is a holiday on sunday and then nobody comes to church, but oh well. But it was a good week for us.

As for my comp and I things are going good. We didnt get a whole lot of time to work togeather but we are still getting along. As for weird things that happend. Well while we did divisions on thursday my comp was with Elder Hendrikson, comp of elder Swenson, and they tried to take a taxi to get home and ended up getting lost in the worst barrio, neighborhood, in our area. They were trying to find thier way and got lost until 11 at night. Then a little member kid found them and took them to his mom and she took them to our house. It was kinda funny but spooky because that are is really dangerous. But I think my comp is learning the area. Well my face is better and my hair is slowly growing back, like normal. Other than my eyelashes are still burnt along with my eyebrows. But it will come with time I guess. But I havent touched the dang thing since that happend. Other than that things are good. We had a ton of rain this last week and it made everything wet and muddy, so it wasnt to fun to work. But I think that this week is goinig to be hot. Its hot but it also has humidity to go with it. So being from a place were there is no humidity its kind of a challenge. I dont like being muggy and feeling sweaty all day but we study during the afternoon. So for most of the time we are in the pension. But things are going good and Im enjoying my time here. But other than that things are going good and Im improving each week.

Well greetings family and friends.

Well this week went super good. Well we had the baptism and his name is Franco Vega and is a stud. It was a hassel just to get it done. We did the interview there in Lules and we had to wait for the Zone leaders to come and do it. We didnt get it done until just after 9. So we didnt get back until late. But it was well worth it. Saturday was awesome. We worked in the morning before the baptism and we found a pretty cool family and a old man that was really interested. Then we left and had the baptism in Lules. It was super cool and really spiritual. It was amazing we had more people there than we ever had in Manantial for a baptism. So thats pretty sad when we basically had the whole branch there. But it was super awesome. But ya. Next saturday we should be having anouther baptism in Lules of a kid named Luigui and he is also a stud. All the people we teach there are refrences for us and they are usually really good. But things are going good here in Manantial. This week I think was the best week I have had in my mission. My comp and I worked a ton and completed with all the goals, so that was super cool. But things are going good and I hope they stay that way.

But as for me and my comp things are going good. My comp is from Peru, so anouther one. But works really hard and I love it. He has been a member his whole life, but his parents are also divorced and lived mostly with his dad. But he is pretty cool. We got along togeather this whole week and we are comfortable with each other I think. It was weird without Rivera, because I was with him for so long, but Im happy.He has a pretty cool name Angel Moroni Remirez. So ya thats cool. And I think that this transfer is going to go well. Well as for me things are going good and improving. I am speaking better, so says every latino, and Im learning how to work better and harder also. So thats going good. Well the new pension is going good, other than one small little thing, the oven. The stove works but the oven doesnt, I learned the hard way. Lets just say that I went through a trial of fire, literaly. So as you can guess my hair is pretty short and I dont have to much eyebrows or eyelashes. So to just to say it I had the oven blow up in my face. Its a long story and I will tell it short. I tried to start the oven and I guess there was too much gas so when it lit it lit up everything. But I have recovered and will shortly grow the things that I am missing. But I need a haircut anyways. But other than that I am fine and working hard. Today we played soccer as zones and it was a blast. Im goalie the whole time becasue I cant run as I used to, but my blocking skills have improved and Im doing good as goalie. But ya things are good and are going to be better.

Well it sounds like you guys are good and enjoying your time. Sounds like the pumkins were a blast and that the baby blessing went well. Im glad to hear all of that. Jayson have fun with school and study hard. Mom Im sure that you did fine in your masters writting and things will turn out better. Well greetings family.

Well news on transfers. So what do you think did I stay or did I go. Well if you choose the first you were right. So I am here in Manantial for six more weeks. And I got a new comp. His name is Elder Ramirez and is also from Peru. So we will see how things turn out. Well this week was interesting and went by super fast. We worked when we had time. We moved in on saturday and got everything set up wendsday morning. And then we had the confrence saturday and sunday that was awesome. I love confrence and I look forward to it everytime. I loved listing to the choir and seeing the pics at the beging. It was amazing and I loved all the talks. They seemed to talk alot about the Holy Ghost and the dangers of sin. You could tell that all the talks were recieved under revetation and that its stuff that we need to know now. The talk I enjoyed most was the talk by Ballard the last session. He made it pretty clear about the dangers of sin and that we can not let it destroy our lifes. Its good each time and we had three investigators at the church and they seemed to love it. The stuff we learn during the confrence is not only for members but for all people. Well we should be having a baptism this saturday in Lules. One of the kids we are teaching decided to move his baptismal date to this saturday so all we need to do is have the interview and the service. It will be the first baptism there in about two years. But things are going good and we have a couple people progressing. The sister of the member is doing good and just needs to go to church to progress more but we will work with her on that. But ya so thats about it.

Well as for me and my comps. Things are going good. Its going to be different with out elder rivera but I will get a long. I cant believe that we were togeather for four and a half months. Thats a ton of time togeather. But I learned a lot from him. And mom by teaching without problems is like we dont have weird pauses and we each knew our part to each lesson. But I get to work with my new comp Elder Ramirez. Im looking forward to it and he seems like he is a good worker. and he speaks pretty good english. But ya we moved in tuesday and it was crazy. We woke up and started to pack everything and get everything ready. Then we dropped of the duffel bags and came back for the big stuff. We loaded everyting in the back of a truck that we found and then drove to the pench. Its a nice pension and is really quiet and peacefull. The thing is that we dont have any place to put our clothes so the stay in the bags. But things went good and sunday night we spent saying good by to people with Elder Rivera. But as for anything else things went good and I enjoyed every session of confrence.

Well it sounds like you guys are doing good and that you are enjoying your lifes. Jake congrates on the race and continue to practice hard and run hard in districts. I know that I set a high bar but do your best. and have fun working in the dirty potatoes. Mom have fun with the masters tests and good luck with everything, you'll do fine don't worry. Well greetings from good old Tucuman!

Well I honestly cant believe how fast time is going. And before we know it its october, crazy huh? Well things are good and work was good this week. We worked pretty hard this week and got a lot of things done. As for teaching some of the people we had was alright. The family that the mom is the only member we havent had the chance to teach them this last week. We went by and they werent there and then we came back about an hour later and still werent there, so we havent seem them at all this week. And the sister of the member, Marisol, is going good. She is reading more of the Book of Mormon and loves the lessions and the only thing keeping her from gettign bettter is going to church. She wants to but just lacks a bit of motivation, but we are going to work on that to get her to come to the confrence. Other than that things are going good. We have a guy that we found a while back. His name is Jesus and he came to church yesterday. We have been teaching him off and on for a while and then we challenged him to come to church and he came on his own so that was pretty awesome. So yesterday we had four investigators in church. Then one that we just started teaching kinda is in Lules, another area wich has its own branch. His name is Franco and is a friend of one of the members and seems to like going to chruch. So things are going good and the member that we have waiting to go on his mission still doesnt have his call and has been waiting for about two months now. So he should be getting it I hope.

Well other than this things are going good here in Manantial. Well this week is the last week of the transfer which means mostlikly my comp is out of here and I stay, but you never know what happens. Well some news from today is that I saw Rodrigo!! He came down this morning to chill with Elder Rose, Donaldson, me and our comps. It was pretty cool. We cooked tacos at the church in the other area and then chilled and talked about some cool things. It was so nice to talk to him and just to see how he was. I have honestly missed the guy and I was so happy to see him. He gave me a couple of gifts and we sat and talked. So that was cool and I will try to send some pics of us. Well we had the zone confrence this week and as usual it was good. President talked about obedience and then shared some ideas that we can use to help our investigators pray and make better commitments. So it was good. Then we went by the new pension to see if it was ready to move in. And when we went over it was dirty, because they were fixing a couple of things and were painting the walls so everything was dirty. But I think we are going to move in this week. So ya we got some things to do this week before everything comes to an end. But things are going good and should be better this week. We are going to do some divisions with the Elders in Prospero Mena and then go to confrence this weekend. Im excited to watch confrence. We have to go to the stake center and there they have a room for the missionaries that speak english so I get to watch it in both if I want. But Im excited. Well the weather is different as always. This last week we had a lot of cloud coverage and then some rain so everything was wet. And then today it was hot hot hot and its only going to get hotter. But things are going good and I love it here.

Well hello family and friends.

Well I cant believe how fast time flies by. Well things keep on going here in Argentina. But everything is good and Im loving it. The work this week could have better but we made due. Well this was good and full of surpirses. We are finding more people. Last week we found a family where the mom is the only member and hasnt gone to church for years but we started teaching most of the family. They seem to be going good and also they have thier problems. But they seem to be progressing little by little. The father seems to be the most interested, which is a little bit different because most of the fathers are tradicional. But they are good. Then we are teaching the sister of a member. She was actually really surprising. This week we went by to see if she read the part we marked, not only did she read the part but started reading from the begining and is in second nephi. So she is going good and has been to two different baptisms and she loves them. Other than that most of our investigators are ok but could be better. But the hardest thing was seeing one investigator in church. Its been the same for two weeks and Im tired of it. But its the hardest thing to get them to do. But things are going good and should be getting better in the coming week. As for the kid in our ward that is waiting on his call, is still waiting. But there will be two that will be serving from the ward and the other is going to La Paz Bolivia.

Well as for us this week was good. Well this week was a week full of surprises. Well Rivera and I are still working togeather and we teach without problems now so thats good for us. Well on monday I went and bought me a gift. I got a real argentina jersey, so thanks for the gift. Well as for the new pension, we are still working on things. We will know what happens by wendsday. Well for most of this week we have been without power. They shut off the power on friday and we didnt find out till friday night and then we went to go pay on saturday and the place was closed so we had to wait until today to pay. So we should have power by now. But ya that was a fun experience. Then on saturday we did divisions with the elders in Tafi viejo. And I was with Elder Silva most of the day. He is a cool kid. he is from west jordan and his mom is from venezuela and his dad is from el salvador, I think. But we had fun and did some good work. Then that night we went to Tafi to get my comp and we didnt get back to manantial hasta, forgot the word, a little past midnight. So it was late and we had to get up early to get ready for chruch. Then at church I had to give a talk and it went well. I talked about the responsiblity of the members in fellowshipping investigators and new members. And a lot of people said they liked it so I was happy. But this week was good and I just cant believe how fast its going.

But it sounds like you guys are doing good and I enjoy reading whats going on in your lifes. Well I forgot that the weather down here is getting warm and we are now officialy in spring and they tell me that it gets hotter like 120 so Im not happy about that. Well hello family!

Well I cant believe how fast time flies by here. Im trying to think of the things I was doing a year ago and it doesnt feel like it was that long ago. Well things went good this week. First of all we had our baptism this week and it was awesome. The spirit was so strong during that time. His name is Pablo J... and he is such a stud. During the service he was crying just a little bit. But he was way excited to be baptised. And then last night we were talking with him and he is thinking about serving a mission so we will see what he wants to do. but that was such an awesome experience. Then on thursday we had a zone confrence with three two other zones. And Elder Foster of the seventy and he talked to us about Ward council and how we can help improve things. He kind of droped it hard on the people here. He said that people think that things from the states dont apply to them down here, but he said that the church is the same everywhere. But it was a good time to see people I havent seen for awhile. For work it has been going pretty good. Last night we found a family where the mom is less active and no one else is members and she has five kids and her husband that are interested. So it will be interesting to see what happens with them. Then a couple of our investigators that are improving just a little bit are strugguling so I hope we can improve that. But things are going good.

As for us things are going good. The baptism help get us excited for more things to come and things are going good. Well the weather is hot and seems to be getting hotter. We hit around the 90s this week and there is humidity so its just plain uncomfortable to work but we get through it. Well as for the new house we found one and we are just waiting for the people in the office to talk with the owner and we might be moving this week, but I´ll let you know what happens. But things are going good. Well I found out this last week that "my brother" elder rose´s last kid has family from rexburg and you wont believe who they are. Brian Larsen is his uncle so that meens that his grandparents are the Frankmens. When I was talking with him it was wierd to here that. His name is Elder Graham. He is a cool kid. Oh I forgot to tell you that Elder Foster is from Rigby, so that was cool and I talked with him about home and what you guys do. So thats cool. Other than that things are the same. But this means that we only have two weeks left of the transfer. So we will know who is gone by general conference. But things are going good and Im fine.

Well I always love hearing from you guys cause I learn new things each time. It sounds like you guys are doing good and enjoying yourselfes. Well Cierra happy late birthday and I cant believe that your 14, thats wierd. And Jake good luck with that ankle get it better then you can kick butt. Dad sounds like you have your hands full with everything I wish you luck with everything. Mom and Jayson have fun in school. I love you guys and Im gratefull to have you as my family. Well hello family and boy does time fly.

Well I honoslty cant believe that its september and that its just going by fast. Well this week was pretty good and we got a lot of the things done. So we should have a baptism this saturday. Pablo!!! So he is pretty excited for it and his girlfriend, who is a member has really been helping him progress. So it has been fairly good with him and I just hope that he wont have any problems this week, but its the week of and there is usually problems but we will see. As for the others they are going good. Victor is now proressing more and is more involved with more of the youth so thats always good. And we have anouther Cyntia she came to church yesterday and liked it and enjoyes the lessons, but with here we need to talk with here parents, which is always the hardest part. But its going good and we are continuing to find people and having people progress. And we had three people in the church yesterday and if they come consitently they will progress even more. But things are going good. I just wish they could go better, but thats the life.

As for me and me comp we are doing good and still working togeather. This week was good and as usual we enjoyed it. This week we watched a new movie for missionaries called The District 2 and it was about how we can improve things in the areas and shows how other missionaries are working. It was good and to learn some things that maybe me as a missionary can improve and continue to work on. But it was nice. Then on tuesday we did divisions with the zone leaders and I was with Elder Lockheart. It was a blast to work with him. He is from San Diego and he went to BYU-I so we talked about rexburg and what we like there. So it was fun but I also learned many things that I can use while working. I love going on divisions with the zone leaders because they seem to know a lot and things that we can use to improve. But its going good for me down here. Well my spanish keeps improving and I keep learning different tricks I can use. But its going good, there are times where I feel frustrated but I just learn to deal with it and do my best. But I love it here and the people are amazing and the members are nice and willing to help. But for me its going good. The food is treating me good once and a while. My favorite fruit down here would be the manderin oranges and the mangos are recently growing so in a little bit we are going to have mangos. But I love it down here.

Well it sounds like you all are doing good and loving the three day weekend. Dad I hope that finding wood was fun and that you enjoyed your time. And I think mom got me a brace but talk with her. Mom have fun with school and keeping up with jake and jayson. Jake good luck with the ankle and a fact of me is that I never threw up during or after a race, so feel special. Buenas tardes de Argentina!

Well things were good this week and it was different all the same. Well we had a decent week its just crazy how fast it went by. Well as for the work it is going good and we have a couple more people progressing and thats awesome. So it looks like we are going to have a baptism on the 11th of september. His name is Pablo and he is the boyfriend of one of the members and loves listining to us and enjoys church, so thats always a good thing. Well yersterday we had 4 people in the church, that was nice. Its getting better and we have a kid who is 15 listening and came to church yersterday also and we have him involved with a lot of the youth so thats good and that he is involved. The work is going good and I enjoy it here. But ya we are finding new people and have the members helping us when ever so thats nice to have them. One of our members should be getting his call pretty soon so everyone is excited, even me. But everything is going good and I havent been yelled at as much this week, so thats good.

Well as for me and my comp we are doing good. My spanish keeps improving and his english is improving also. We still get along and I enjoy my time with him. Well for things new. Well we might be moving into anouther apartment this week. The one that we have right now is good but the owner is now rasing the price on us from 500-800 and then by january it goes to 1000 so they the elders in the office asked to find a new pension. So most of last week we spent looking for a new one, and have had little luck but I think we found one. So the goal for the week is to find one and to move in. So this week should be fun. But things are going good. oh also we saw two dogs get hit while walking, thought I would tell you that. But things are going good and I learn something new everyday. Well my birthday was a blast but different. We celebrated it in two different houses and I ate so much food. But it was fun, and I will try to send some photos of it. Each house had food, mainly pizza, and empenadas and then a cake. But the last house we went to was my favorite. The cake was a vanilla cake with choacoalate frosting and with strawberries so I basically loved it. But it was a fun night and the members made me feel better about it. But things are going good and things keep on going here. Well we get to do divisions today with the zone leaders since my comp is district leader, so it should be fun. I love it here. I got the package, thanks and I am enjoying the candy and Im using the highlighters and jake nice quote. I loved it. I guess what I need is a knee brace becasue the one Im using now is presidents so it would be nice to have my own, and it needs to be one that covers the whole knee and can support. So that would be nice and then send what ever you want.

But it was nice to hear from you guys and that you are all good. I always love hearing from all of ya that you're all good. Dad I got the videos but none of the computers have sound so I just saw them without listening and Jayson's bed looks cool. And if you need help with spanish Im here. Mom have fun with shcool and with the REA and Jayson just because mom is in the same school doesnt meen you have speacial rights and have fun. jake have fun keeping up with everything, I cant believe that your a senior, wow. Greetings my beloved family.

Well things are going good and boy has time gone by. I cant believe that I hit nine months and then this sunday I turn twenty. Wow! Well Im still in the same town good old Manantial and Im with Elder Rivera still so thats weird, but should be fun. Well this week was good and flu by. Our numbers were good but we didnt have anyone in church so that was not good. This last week we did divisions and I was with Elder Day and we had fun. He is from Arizona and loves to run so what do you think we talked about mostly, running. But it was a good time with him. And then I did a family home evening about missionary work, because it was with a family that one of the kids is getting ready to serve and that was fun. And on saturday we went to the hospital to give a blessing to on of the members nieces and when we got there we couldnt give the blessing because the hospital didnt allow. So we went down to the lobby and said a prayer and then right after that one of the nurses ran down and told the father that she woke up and started talking so that was cool. But it was a good week and this week sould be better.

Well as for me and my comp we are doing good and looking forward to working once again this transfer again together. Well I didnt give my talk on sunday. I guess they forgot they had other people doing talks so they asked me not to give it, I was fine with that. But other than that Im doing good. My knee is fine but bugs me everyonce and a while. Well Im not sick anymore but Im plenty hot. The weather this last week has been hot. It has been around the 80s and I think winter is over here, so here comes more summer. But the thing with summer here in Tucuman is that its muggy and has a lot of humidity. So this sould be fun trying to work. But the good thing is that we are starting to work during the morning and then study in the afternoon. So it sould be a new fun experience. But its going good. So we started a new transfer today and boy did the other one fly by. Well a lot of people are gone from the zone and our district and my comp is district leader this transfer, so I get to do divisions with the zone leaders. But it should be fun to see what happens. My spanish is improving and my work ethic is improving also, so i guess thats good. I talked to Rodrigo the other day and sounds like he is good just a little bummed that he cant get surgery and that he spent the trip in Buenos Aires with his friends and all they did was party, but other than that he is good. But thats about it. The package is here and I should get it thursday and Grandma I got the card, thanks.

But it sounds like you guys are doing good and enjoying the last bit of summer you have. I loved the pics dad and looks like the trip was fun. Jake get that ankle better and enjoy your senior year, wow thats not wierd at all. I love hearing from you guys every week and seeing what you have to say. I miss you guys but Im here , "working for Jesus" and I will enjoy my birthday with the members, they already have something planned. But I love you guys and wish the best for you. Te amo

Well greetings family.

Well things were good this last week. We had a baptism again! It was Manuel Dez... and he is 9 years old and boy was it a fight to finally get him in the water. But it was good. To get him baptised we had to do the interview twice and then wait anouther week and then finally we could do it. It was nice and small. But it was nice to finally get one and I did the baptism so that was even cooler. But as for work this week was kinda of tough. We couldnt get in alot of doors and the only new investigators we got are refrences from mombers. But its coming along. We have a couple of investigators that are progressing but its kinda tough to get them to make the commitment and come to church. But yesterday we had two in the church and they werent people we were expecting to come, so I guess thats good. But the work is good. But as always could be better.

Well for things that are going on down here in Argentina. Well for me things are going good. Elder Rivera and I are still working hard and we are starting to work with members that are about to leave for thier missions, so we have some help there. Well yesterday was Dia del Niño so everyone was celebrating, but it was more the parents celebrating than the kids. But its kinda like chrstmas and everyone gives a gift or toy to the kids. It was kinda cool but just different. It seems like down here they have a holiday for about everything. Dia del amigo, dia del vecino, and even dia de los animales. Its crazy how many holidays they have down here and its all about partying. But thats the life down here. Well my spanish is coming along and with help with the members its moving faster. The weather has been so weird down here. It changes about everyday and doesnt know if it wants to be cold or hot, so once again I have a cold. But oh well. But Im doing good and I love it down here. Well the dance club in front of the pension decided to upgrade the roof. It was a piece of tarp but know its sheet metal but its a domned shape and the sound goes out the sides so the sound of the music is even stronger now and I dont sleep at nights. But oh well thats my life. As for the fainting I think Ive got it under control and Im drinking more and eating more, sometimes. I cant believe how fast time passes and that this transfer is almost done. But Im doing good and I cant think of anything that you could send. And the members say Hola.

Well sounds like this week was a crazy week for you guys. Jayson again happy birthday and "dont shoot your eye out" with the bow and have fun in Iowa. Dad sounds like you stayed busy with everything and that finaly you got that kidney stone out and as for D&C 136 I dont know anything that would help. Safe traviling this thrusday and have fun. Mom sounds like your going to have fun in Utah and enjoy the garden for me. But I love ya guys and I look forward to writting you guys everyweek. I miss ya but I know Im here for a reason.

Well hello family.

Well things are going good here in Tucuman. The work is progressing little by little and we should have a baptism this saturday. We didnt have our baptism but we have more planned in the next little bit. But its going good here. As for teaching things are going good. Last night we picked up a family that we dropped a while back and found one of thier friends is a member so we are going with her. So thats good that we are teaching them again. We are still teaching the family Aslan and we should have a baptism for the two girls next week and we have one of the bothers coming to church again and going to the actividades. And we are working on a couple of others also and we have more appointments with some new people this week. But the work is going good and is progressing here in good old Manantial. The baptism that we have planned for is the girl Rode. Her mom was baptised a little while back and now working on her getting baptised. The thing is that she has some fears about the whole thing. So we are going to try to work on that this week. But she is good and is excited for the baptism. Well thats about it for the news.

Things for me are going good. My knee is doing better,but as always could be better. Im working hard and trying to get things done.Elder Rivera and I are working hard and are getting along fine. Its a good thing that we get along or things would be tough. But he is good and is helping me with my spanish and Im helping him with english,so I guess it works both ways. My spanish is improving and I am learning new things everyday. And the members help sometimes also. Its cool we have a kid that is getting ready to go on his mission and speaks english pretty good,so he always helps. But its going good for me. Well on saturday while working we went to a house of a less active and while talking with her I started to feel dizzy and kinda sick when all the sudden I fell backward and then tried to stop and go forward and then I almost passed out but they caught me and help me. I guess my blood sugar was low or something. But now Im fine and eating and drinking to avoid it again. But now Im fine. Oh and also this week we had SNOW!!! It was crazy how it happend. The last couple of days were chilly and I guess it got cold enough that it snowed. It was cool and also was not fun to work cause no one wanted to listen cause it was too cold. But it was cool. And then today we went to the mountains and played in the snow and took pics to the big christ statue here, I will try to send some pics. And then we went to Burger King for lunch. It was weird cause I was actually excited to eat there. It was good to have something from the states. But all is good and things are going well and should be getting better. But I love it here and the people are good and the members are always willing to help.

Sounds like you guys are doing well and are getting to ready for the weekend. Im jealos of you guys but Im here. Mom and Jayson good luck with the race and dad have fun with all the sound and music gigs, at least your busy. I love ya all and I think of the wonderfull things you have done for me. Well hello everyone!

Well things are going good here in good old Tucuman. Well this week for work was decint but could have been better. We didnt have our baptism, that sucks. His relatives showed up from Brazil and went on a tour of Argentina, and took him with. So he missed the baptism and then he was too tired to come to church that sunday but his mom and sister came. But we have the baptism set up for the next saturday, so wish us luck. We did divisions this week and I went to Tafi Viejo with Elder Day. It was fun and to work with him and to know his area. He had a interview to do so the Zone leaders came and we were with them part of the day, so that was cool. But it was fun. We are still working some families and hope to have some more baptisms this transfer. We are working with the Familia Aslan, two of the girls, Alexia and Allelin. They are coming to church and they love the lessons. Then we have anouther girl of a lady that was baptised before I come her name is Rode and she just needs permision from her dad and then we can baptise her so we are working on that. But things are going good here and Im loving it. So Im gald Im staying here this transfer. Cause we have a lot of stuff planned for this transfer.

Well my life is about the same as it has been. Nothing big is happining. Elder Rivera and I are working good togeather and I am learning from him and he helps with my spanish. So its good between us. As for me the weather has been good. This last week was warm and then today is cold with some wind, so it makes it colder. This morning we went to the terminal to say good bye to some of the missionaries and to see some of them come. It was cool to see them leave but sad also because they were some friends but I hope to see them sometime during the mission. The weird thing is that President took all the sister missionaries out of the province and put them up north. So there arent any sisters here in Tucuman or Santiago del Estero. So thats sad but I guess its for the safety. But its going good. My knee is alright but could be better. The pills Im taking are pain pills, dont ask me to spell cause I cant. And the brace is helping a bit, but my knee gets tired by the end of the night. It hurts to run, so thats not good. But Im fine and only hope it gets better. But things are going good down here. The other day it was independince day down here and they turned 200 years old so they had a huge party here in centro and the President showed up and gave a talk. Because here in Tucuman everything started for independence, so there is a lot of history in this province. So everyone was out partying and it was dificult to work but we did it anyway. But it was cool to see everyone celebrating 200 years. But thats about it for me and the things here. Oh ya I went to Wal-Mart the other day and oh my gosh it felt like I was home and I baught a Snikers bar, but havent eaten it yet.

Well it sounds like your lifes are busy like normal and your having fun. So dad have you passed it yet or you still have it? But it sounds like the derby was a success. And its sucks that Boozer and Korver are leaving but I guess it was time for Boozer. And Im sure they will find somebody. Mom have fun with the summer and have Jayson and Jake help you. I miss you guys and some things about home, but oh well I here and there is nothing I can do about it. But I love you all and I hope the best for ya. Have fun with whatever you do!

Well hello from good old Tucuman. HAPPY FOUTH!!

Well things are going good and the work is progressing. We are teaching quite a few people and the work here is progressing. We are excited because we are going to have a baptism this saturdaya. His name is Manuel D and is 9 years old. He is an average kid and loves to play sports. But hes good and we are also trying to reactivate his family with it. So who knows and we are hoping also that we can have another one also on saturday. Tonight we have to talk with the parents on getting her baptised. The mom is already baptised and the girl wants to also. But we will find out tonight. We are also working with anouther less active family, Flia . All but three are members and two want to get baptised so they have fetchas for the 24 so I hope they make it. We are trying to work with anouther couple also. They have been investigators for awhile and the only thing keeping them from baptism is marrige. They are so close but yet they kinda procrastinate or something comes up. The other day they had a fight and said they didnt want to get married at the moment, so that kinda a hurt. But we are hoping in the next while that we can get them baptised. But the work is going good, we have many more investigators, but these are the most that are progressing.

But the things for me are going good. My comp and I still get along and my spanish is improving slowly but its improving. Well we find out transfers this week, wow how fast time flies. But Im kinda sure that Im staying, but who knows. My knee is good but could be better. Today we played soccer and it wasnt happy with me in the second game but I have a brace for it and Im taking pills also. So its all good for now. Well Argentina is out of the cup and everyone was shocked about that. And the people called me a german after the game and tried to throw stuff at me. But oh well I guess thats the life. But they thought that they were going to go all the way and win the cup, but I guess they have anouther chance in four years. But things are going good and I havent had any dogs try to hit me, so thats good. But things are good and the food is still good. But as of late I have ate somany potatoes but ya. I think I ate potatoes at almost every meal. But the food is still good. I love it here and the people are good. Lately it has felt like its summer. Its weird, the afternoons are hot but not as hot as in the summer, thats good. But its winter but I guess Im in south America. But ya.

It sounds like you all are doing good and loving life up there. Mom and Jayson good job on the run and I wish I could have done it with you but Im here. Jake nice job at the camp and Im sure you loved it. Grandma sounds like your garden is going good and your having a ton of success, I miss rassberies. and Grandma Wade I think I might have to take a painting class from you when I get back. Well hello family.

Well things are going good down here in Argentina. So its good that the US is out and Argentina is still winning, but they play Germany next and the thing is that every now and then people think that Im from Germany, dang blonde hair and blue eyes. But things are good here. Other than when they play we dont get anything done so we usually study during that time. But we have a couple of new families that we are teaching. And we found a barrio, neighborhood, that we havent seen before. So this area just keeps growing and growing for me, ITS HUGE. We had a family but we went by yesterday and they decided that theyt didnt want to listen anymore, so thats sad. But we have found a couple more people to teach. And we are still working with the partmember family and the kids have somewhat settled down. But the work is going good down. Slow but good. This last sunday was Stake Confrence and we had three investigators show up so that was good. And at the confrence we had Elder Avila an area seventy and there was also our mission president. So it was good. But we have some investigators but we need more. And yesterday after the game we didnt get anything done. Everyone was out partying and didnt want to listen. So thats the work down here.

But for me Im doing good and working hard. My spanish is improving and my comp and I are working hard. Well we also had zone confrence this last Wednesday and President talked alot about the rules and how they were made by the first presidency and we need to respect that. And we also have a new project to do. Because for the last four months we have been reading in the Book of Mormon and we had to highlight every reference of the Lords name in red and in Blue was gospel princeples. So it was good project and this new project is in the Bible. We are reading the four gospels. And we have to highlight in red every refrence that Christ is the son of God and in blue whenever he teaches or his teachings. So it should be good. But ya. Im good and just a little sick with a cold but it should pass over. But Im having problems with my knee again, but dont get worried. Last night we were walking down this street about to turn a corner and this dog came running at me and I didnt have time to move so it ran staight into my knee and of course it was my bad knee. But Im taking care of it. But Im kinda frustraited by it. But oh well I guess thats life. But Im doing good and just working. Well I got a story of the week. This last thursday we did service for a sister in the other area. All it was was to cut off a bunch of branches that were hanging over house. So it wasnt so bad but when we decided to cut of one of the big branches it fell through the roof. So that sucked and then we spent most of the time looking for a new thing to fix it. We eventually found a metal sheet the same sheets that I worked with during the summer. So eventually we got it fixed and the sister was happy with it. But it was just a crazy day in its self. It started at 9 in the morning and finished at 7 at night it was crazy. So thats my story. But that was crazy.

Well thats my life so far down here. But it sounds like you guys are having fun and enjoying the summer. Jake keep working hard at the camps and Im sure that you will do great during the season. Mom have fun at school and Jayson keep helping mom and dad. Dad have fun with the pups and the demo durby and dont go to the hospital again. And grandma and Brian sounds like the garden is coming like crazy and I miss fresh vegitables. But oh well. I love it here and the people are good and loving. Well hello from good old Argentina.

Well things are going good down here. The work is going good and we are having some progress with some of the investigators. This week was actually tougher than the others. We didnt find a lot of new investigators and the investigators that we have now are slowly progressing. Yesterday we didnt have any investigators show up to church and then we knocked doors last night and everyone was either gone or they had visitors. Apparently they take fathers day pretty seriously. Everyone was partying and drunk so we couldnt really do anything so we went back to the pension early. It kidna sucked when none of our investigators wanted to come to church. We passed by all of them in the morning and then went back around to pick them up and none wanted to go. But we are going to try harder this week to get them to come. But other than that the week went good. The part-member family that we are teaching are doing good and the kid is nine years old, but they have tons of energy and wont settle down for anything. But we are working on that. But its going good.

But things are going good from me. Im still healthy and working hard. The talk I gave yesterday went well and everyone commented and said that they loved it. So Im happy with that. It was on the talk given by Russel T. Ogsthorpe in the last October confrence on Teaching helps save souls. It was good. Last night was rough because the dance club in front was having a megadisco and it was crazy and then at 1 in the morning everyone was leaving and then someone started a fight and it was so loud. It was tough to sleep last night but oh well its over until friday. The weather here has been ok. Its been cloudy and overcasty all week and it has rained three times this week. But its good weather other than the fact that there is mud everywhere. That sucks cause everything is dirty. Argentina is doing good in the world cup and thats a good thing but it also sucks. Because when there is a game on nobody wants to listen. And even when argentina isnt playing nobody still wants to listen cause they are watching fútbol. But its seems like the US is doing good also and everyone is surprised by that too. I just hope that the US and Argentina dont play against each other cause we wont get anything done. But oh well what happens happens. But Im good and my comps good also so thats good. we still get along and he says that my spanish is improving. So hey there´s something good. But its going good. oh and Hey 7 meses!!!!! Wow how time flies. But in a good way. Well we have zone confrence coming up and Im looking forward to that. But ya.

Well it sounds like you guys are having fun and staying busy. Dad it sounds like your having fun selling the pups and That you had fun at the campout and the new disign is different but cool, so why did they change it? Mom sounds like your doing well with your students and carefull with that one and ya talk with officer allen about that. Well have fun with the heat as we here get cooler. But I love it here. Week number two in good old Tucuman‏

Well hello!

Greetings from good old Manantial. Well things are going good and are continuing to work hard, so thats good. Well the work here is going good and we have a couple of investigators that are progressing, but we still need to find more but we will eventually do that. Yesterday in the church we had 6 investigators and that was awesome.Two of investigators are a mom and daughter, Adriana and Gabriela. They are Seventh day Adventistas and they were are strougle to get them to church but they finally came so that was cool and then the saturday before we invited them to a baptism in the other area and they loved it and loved the design of the church so ya thats cool. And then we are teaching a part member families kids. Two of the kids havent been baptised and the family also is inactive so we are trying to do both teach and reactivate. But ya so thats basically it and I dont know what else to write. Other than the people here are good people you just have to find what they need or they will shut you down. But ya.

Well things for me are good. The dance club in front is no fun at all. Saturday night I didnt fall asleep until at least 1 in the morning because of the music, motos, and people fighting. So ya thats always fun. yes there are areas where we have to avoid at night because the are dark and you really cant see anything. But ya the Hermanas got robbed last week. Some guy jumped them and stole the cell phone and went and gave them a blessing. So ya. But dont worry we stay away from those areas at night. But ya Argentina won the other day and the city was dead during the game and we were the only ones in the street. But I hope that USA and Argentina dont play against each other, cause it would be dangerous for us to work. And also the people here are very pridefull and they love thier soccer, fútbol. But ya. But things are going good for me. I think today we are going to go to centro and look around. But things are good and I love it here. The weather here the last week was overcasty with a little rain, but its not so bad other than there is a ton of mud. And I got called on sunday to give a talk next week, at least they gave me a head start on it. So we will see how that goes.

So it sounds like you guys are doing good. Ralph good job on the Marathon thats a good time. Mom have fun in summer school and have fun. Jayson have fun with whatever you are doing and Jake sounds like you had fun a boys state and your loving the politic stuff. And Im super jealous of your pic with the Pres. How did you get so close? Well hello from the great Argentina.

Well things are going good here in Manantial and with my comp things are excelent. Well things are going good for me here. It was weird to work in anouther area thats not Perico but after a while I was fine. This area is huge about twice as big as my last. We try to plan citas close to each other so we dont have to walk everywhere but even then we are walking everywhere. But its good and I love it here. There area is nice even though there is a area that we have to avoid at night because its too dangouros, but oh well. The members here are really nice and always welcome with a hug, so Im loving that.The people here are good and the thing with them is that they are a little more blunt than people in Jujuy but its good. So ya the people look like they are more gringo than dark skin but still have a latin twist to them. But they are cool people and are very loving. So ya the area is just right out of the city but still in the city. And we have three soda companies that make soda in our area, Coke, Pepsi, and Torraso. So dad you would love it here. Torraso is an Argentinan brand and its not bad. Its weird that the number one flavor here is manzana, apple. And its a good flavor and its weird how you start liking it. But I love it here. For investigators we have Rode who is the daughter of one of the converts here and then we have Rita who we just started teaching this last week. Other than that things are going good. We are knocking to find new investigators by knocking Apartments, there is something new. Because there are blocks and blocks of apartments here. But ya so thats that and this place is good and Im loving it so far.

For me things are going good. We finally got hot water in the pencion. Elder Rivera says that they havent had hot water for at least 6-7 months, thats crazy. So thats good and then we started teaching our plumber who is Adventist, so thats cool. But ya Elder Rivera and I get a long fine and we are always joking around with each other. Yes my spanish is improving and I love it. Last night we had a full conversation in spanish. And he is trying to learn english, so we are helping each other out. Elder Rivera has about 18 months and goes home in December. So he still has time. But things are good here. The food is good, other than you might want to send some tums cause Im about out. Its cause whenever I eat anything from the street or somthing really greasy my stomach doesnt like it. But oh well. But things are good. Today for pday we played soccer with the other zone and then we went and ate at a shell gas station. So its different here with the gas stations. They acctually have nice things and a nice restoranat. Its usually the place were all the rich people go to hang out. So thats cool. We have a ward here and its a super nice church, its bigger than my last. The members are always willing to help. But Im good and yes Im taking more pics, I just didnt bring it with cause we came to the cyber right after we ate and I didnt bring my camera. So those girls you were asking about mom were members in Perico. so ya. Oh and we have a dance club right across the street from the house and its crazy everyweekend. Friday and Saturday it starts at eleven at night and doesnt end until four in the morning and then sundays its starts at eight and ends at eleven. So ya that keeps us up, but thats Argentina for ya.

Well its sounds like your all having fun and staying busy. Jayson good job at the track meet and keep running hard. Jake good luck at boys state and stay off the uni-cylce. Dad have fun with those puppys and with the float. Oh boy do I miss running. and Im jeolus of you guys running in the Pioner day race, I loved that race. Well hello and greetings from my new area.

Well I got to my new area sooner than I thought. My area is called Manantial and its in the province of Tucuman. And things are good here. Oh and Im with a latino! He´s name is Elder Rivera and he is from Peru. He seems like a good guy and knows what he is doing. So Im glad and looking forward to this next transfer. SPANISH 24 HOURS! But things are good. So news on the baptisms. We had them I was so glad that we did. I feel that they needed to feel that. When Marisol was baptised she said that she felt happy and better. So that was good. Rodrigos mom didnt get baptised but she promised me before I left last night that she would get baptised in the following weeks. She said that she didnt feel that she was prepared enough to do it. But Im still happy for them and their decision to be baptised. Marcos showed up again at church and loved it even more. So he should be baptised on the 5th of june. but its kinda sad to leave that area behind and start up again somewhere else. But oh well I guess thats how the mission works.

But things are going good for me here in Argentina. This new area seems good and even bigger than my last. Im excited to work here. From what I have seen the people have more of a European look to them. So thats a change from bolivians to europeans. But its nice here. The pension is a bit of a down grade. We live above a dance studio and across from a dance club. And my comp said that it gets pretty load at nights sometimes. And the is no hot water so its cold showers for now. But other than that its decently good. And there are only two of us living there so that will be interesting. The last transfer was cool and Im going to miss those guys. Yes Palpala is a city and its nicely sized and there are tons of parks there so thats why we went. For pday so far I have spent it traviling. I left at 730 this morning and got to tucuman centro at 1230 almost 1. So it was a good 5 hour drive in a bus. And the cool thing about the buses is that they are double decker buses. So thats cool. So thats that.

But it sounds like you guys are doing good and staying busy as always. Jake nice job on getting that scholarship and stay of the unicycle. Dad I love the heels they really bring out the color of your eyes. Mom have fun with your break and with summer school. And have fun in Utah. Well hello from good old Perico Argentina. Well things are going good this week and we are hoping to have a couple of baptisms this weekend. The work is going good we are finding new investigators and some of the investigators that we have are progressing very well. For example we have one named Marcos and he is a stud and loves listening to us and has been to church twice and is looking forward to being baptised in June. And the cool thing is that he sings the hymns, not everyone does that even the members. Rodrigos mom is going good and we plan on her being baptised this week so we have to talk with her about that. But as for Marisol and Cruciela things are going good for them but kinda tuff for Marisol. Last week we talked about forgivness and the importance of it, but that will be tuff for her. And she cant get baptised this weekend because she didnt come to church last week so that is tuff. But we hopr for Cruciela to get baptised. But things are going good and we are working hard. We had 3 people at church this last week and that was nice but we need four for the goal. But things are good. Well at Zone confrence President talked about using time wisely on pday and stuff that we could use with the members to help us. But that was that.

Well for me things are good. Well news this week is the last week of the transfer. Thats weird cause it went by crazy fast. So we all think that I will be that one that leaves cause I have been here the longest. So we will see in a couple of days. But things are good and today I finally got out and ran. IT FELT SO GOOD! For pday today we went to palpala and had a barbequ, my spelling sucks. And there we played some soccer and some frisbee so that was fun just to run. But things here are cool. Right now we are watching Argentina play Canada so I guess we might not get in to many doors today and with tomorrow being a holiday too will be difficult but oh well thats the life here. The weather is starting to get chilly but thats good cause Im not to fond of the heat. But its good. Well I got my hair cut today and so thats new. But everyone is giving me a hard time cause dads bad hair is slowly catcing up to me, but oh well I guess thats just a part of life. Well things are good and I love Argentina. But everytime I see the moutains here I miss the the moutains back home. Here they are really green with tons of jungle ish stuff. But oh well. Things are good Im slowly learning the language and when I feel comfortable here they might move somewhere else but I guess thats the mission. The people here are good and sometimes willing to listen sometimes it feels like we are pulling teeth just to have them listen. But its good and I love it.

Well hello from good old Argentina!

Well things here are starting to get a little chilly but good. Well work here has been slowly progressing in a way. This last week we had to drop 2 investigators because they either didnt want to listen or they werent progressing. So that was a little hard this week but then last night we found 3 new investigators and they seem to be good so we will see. But we are working hard and have some that areslowly progressing. We are still working with Rodrigos mom and she has a fetcha for the end of the month and she came to church yesterday so that was good. And we had another family come to church yesterday. They are Marcos and Jesica and they are uncle and niece. And they are slowly progressing and they love what we teach so thats nice. But work this week should be good and hopefully rewarding. We ended up not having a baptism this last week, because Marisol still has a problem with coffee and then we were going to baptise the younger one and then she didnt show up for the baptism so hopefully we can find them and get somethin set up with them. But thats that. We had zone confrence and that was cool to see President and Hermana. During the confrence we talked about how the members can greatly help and we have a task this week to have a member that we eat with ask a friend of theirs and invite them to lunch the fowling week. So we will see if we can do that. Cause the members are realy important because if an investigator has a friend in the church they are most likely to get baptised. So that was cool. And then we got CELL PHONES. Cause we havent had cell phones for the last four months here in Percio. So that was cool. But the work is going good.

But things are going good here for me. The weather is starting to get a little chilly as we get closer to winter. We had slight rain yesterday and it was cool. But they say that it doesnt too cold here but the people freeze cause they arent used to it. But I can already tell that I will be a wimp when I come home. But oh well. But things are going good. The food is still treating me good and the language is slowly coming still and Im loving it down here. But things are good and Everyone is getting ready for the World Cup. So that is going to be interesting to work with down. But other than that things are going good and Im loving life.

Well hello and greetings from good old Argentina. Well things are going good down here and we are working hard as usual. The weather down here is good and you can tell that we are in fall and slowly moving towards winter. This week was good but not great. We didnt finish all of our goals for the week but we did get most of them. Yesterday we had 5 investigators show up to church and they werent the ones that we were expecting, so that was nice. It was cool cause we are teaching a family that is very catholic and the showed up to church and loved it. And the daughter has a friend in the church already so thats nice. But we havent found a whole lot of `peòple this week and are teaching most of the same people. But things are going good and the investigators are slowly progressing. Well some great news.... Rodrigo finally told his mom that he was baptised yesterday!!!! and she accepted it. So now we can take things a little farther now. So we were happy about that and we are going to teach one of his gypsie friends tonight. Oh ya gypsies are everywhere down here and they are interesting. They dont know how to read, write and other stuff cause they dont go to school and they are always trying to steal your money, by any means posible. But ya things are good here for work. And we hope to have some baptisms this transfer. But thats that.

Well some news about me and our life down here. Well first the llama. Llama tastes pretty good and is quite healthy for you. The meat is lean and has a different taste and there is not a whole lot of fat on it. But it wasnt bad. that night we ate both beef and llama, so we could tell the taste and there is a huge difference in it. But dont worry I wont come home and kill the llamas. The food down here is good and Ive gotten used to it, and its good sometimes and other times you wonder what the heck you just ate but you dont ask. But its good, I love it. I got a little sick this and wasnt feeling to hot but still worked. I wasnt able to eat a whole lot and just felt an awfull ache in my stomach, but it has mostly passed so thats good. But things are going good and we are working hard. The other elders are awesome and we are always goofing around in the pinch at night. And its nice too cause we have some of the same tastes in stuff and always telling stories.

So for calling. I have calling cards that are for international and I think it would be more if you called me cause Perico is on a totally different program then anything else. So we will see. I think we are going to call a couple days before to set a time up with you guys so we know when to call. Be ready. So if I cant call or something we will figure something out. But it sounds like you guys have your hands full with all sorts of stuff. Dad congrats on the pups and have fun with them. And tell tiki not to eat his foot thats bad for him. Jake have fun at the dance with kylie<329.gif>. Mom have fun with your paper and Im sure that you will do fine. Tell Joe congrats on the baby. Well hello and greetings from Perico! Well things are going good and we are still working hard. For teaching, we are still teaching most of the same group and we have some news. We are still teaching Rodrigo and his mom and she is slowly making progress and she loves to have us over. She said that they could tell a difference when we were there and when we left. We watched the restoration movie yesterday and she loved it, but I wish we could take out a fetcha for her but thats hard with Rodrigo not telling her. We are teaching the Familia Sebedra and they are progressing very well and we have a fetcha with them. We are teaching a part member family and they are making progress. The two daughters are not members and the youngest loves the lessions and wants to get baptised, but ht e oldest not so much. She is making progress but we are making progress, but we keep finding things our about her that kinda bug ya. We found out that she was abused last year by her step dad and now doesnt have any trust in anyone. But she is progresing. Other than that we dont have anyone really progresing.

But things are going good here. We have nice weather and we are working hard with it. Yesterday we had stake confrence and we got a new stake president. But at the confrence we had two seventies and our mission president. We were in anouther building so we didnt get to meet them. But it was good. And we had two people show up for it, the part member family. But things are going good and things are moving. Its just crazy how fast time flies and how much your feel like you dont have enough time to do anything. But this week should be good. ITs crazy that in two weeks I get to call you and just tell you all the things we do. So I dont know what would be better for you. I got permission from president to call both of you so I was thinking that I would call your cell phones if that would work. Rodrigo has a land line so he said that we could use that to call. So just tell me what you think.

But things are going good. I know that I still havent sent any fotos, but all the cybers are closed and the only one open doesnt accept the usb port. So I will get a CD put togeather and see if I can send it. The weather is good. Its not so hot and not so cold but the nights are pretty chilly. But thats fall for ya. This week we are eating dinner at Rodrigos on thursday and guess what we are going to eat! Empanadas de llama!! so that will be interesting. But it should be good. Yes, I live in a four man appartment. And the other Elders are Elder Dibb from Minico, Idaho and Elder Shuman from Spanish Fork, Utah. So there are two of us from Idaho and two from Utah. So thats pretty cool. So thats them and they are pretty cool. We get along pretty dang good and we joke around a lot between the four of us.

But it sounds like you guys are going good and having fun. Sounds like the Jazz are doing good and that Jake is running amazing times, Just keep it up and earn the man cards. And tell stutz that he can do it and keep it up. And dad it sounds like your going to have fun with a whole ton of pups, good luck. Well I got a letter from Chance and it sounds like he is doing good and loving your class. Well it sounds like you all are doing good and always having fun. Well hello from Perico, Again! Well here is some news. I didnt get transfered so this might be my last transfer in Perico. But Im happy that Im staying here. We have some stuff set up for this transfer, so Im happy. But Elder Rowland left to his last area. Elder Rowland was one of the other Elders that are living with us. He was a good elder and friend. He is from Wyoming and guess what city.... Sheriden! But he was cool and its going to be weird without him. But other than that things are going good. Elder Donaldson and I are still working hard like always and are still teaching some of the same people last week. We are still teaching Rodrigos mom and she is slowly progressing, but we cant really set a baptism date with her cause Rodrigo still hasnt told her that he is baptised. But the family ortega is a bit of a disapointment. That is becuase everytime we set up a cita with them they are never there, so thats whats up with them. But we are finding and teaching more. We have a family that we have had for over a couple of weeks and they are nice, but super catholic and thats always hard. We are teaching the mom and the daughter, but the daughter goes to a super catholic university and is really good friends with the pastor. And they always say that they dont want to change religions and are really strong in the church. But we have one good family and they are the familia sabedra. We are teaching three of the sisters and all three of them have came to church but at different times. But they are good and always listening.

But thats that. But for news about me where to start. I am a little sick but not bad just a small cold. It is because the weather is crazy here. For example, we had a week where it was chily and then it sudenly changes to where it is 70-80 degrees and thats what has killed me. I got a nickname down here and everyone says it in the street. The name is El Polaco or Polish. It is because there is a singer down here whos name is el polaco and everyone listens to him and they think I look like him. So I get called that a good five or six times a day. I will send a pic of him so you can judge for yourself. But other than that not much has gone on here in Perico. Well I guess this morning after Elder Rowland left we started cleaning and we cleaned for about a couple of hours so I guess that proves that I do clean! HA!

But things are going good and we are always working. The language is coming and I like it. I had to give a talk yesterday in church and I had a lot of comments on my language and how I have improved. So it is coming. The food is always good, sometimes. I love the food and I almost died eating a pepper the other day. But things are going good, the cloths are still holding up and havent started to fade yet so thats good. I stopped sweating as much now, but it has gotten cooler now to and thats weird. So ya the only thing weird is the change in weather. It is almost may and the weather is cooling. But oh well I´ll get used to it. But things are going good and it sounds like things are going good in your lifes. Congrats on getting married Geana and good luck with everyting. Jake keep running hard and those times are amazing times, good luck and get that man card. I love you all and I love reading what is going on in your lifes.

Well greetings from Perico. Well to start, Im doing fine just getting used to the weather changing. But things are going good. this past week we had some cool days. So that was nice cause it wasnt so hot. But today warmed up and is as hot as it usually is. but things are good and we are working hard as usual. So today we didnt really do anything. We found out last night that we werent going to Humauaca cause Pres said it was to far. So we stayed here in Perico and went shoping. We went and hit the argetina feria and bought some CDs and then went to the american feria and looked for cloths. Its cool cause the stuff is cheep. They sell cds that have around 100 songs for 5 pesos, thats one dollar. So I think thats pretty cool. And then we came here to email.

But for this week for work we did decent. We didnt complet with our goal for member present but for everything else we did decent. We are still teaching Rodrigos mom and she is slowly progressing. She has had a lot of questions about Jehova. And if it is christ or God. The main reason she is confused is that she is reading out of the "santas escrituras" the bible of the Jehovas Witnesses. So that messed up things and she still doesnt know that Rodrigo is baptised, so thats anouther wall to get over. But she is good. We found anouther family that is related to a member family in the ward and we started to teach them last night. We keep finding new families and I hope everyday that they continue to progress. And there are always the people that we find that quite arent there. But the things are going good. Yesterday was good. During sacrement meeting I got called on to give a baby blessing. That was crazy but awesome. The kid I did it for is about 4 years old and is super funny. But the blessing was unexpected and i was unprepared. Cause I figured I wouldnt give one untill I had a kid but oh well. His name is Damian Flores and is super funny and cool. He doesnt have a dad so I was honored to give it. But things are going good and people are slowly progressing.
I love it here in Argentina and I love to see the sights around us everyday. Some of the time the mountains and everything remind me of the pictures from the book of mormon. Just everything is green and lovely. The food is always something to get used to but it is usually good. We ate at Rodrigos for lunch yesterday and we had empenadas arabic. They are amazingly good. But lately the thing that I have eaten is milanesa. Its a really fine cut meat that is breaded and deep fried. So its kinda like chicken fried steak. But thats good. Im glad that I havent gotten sick yet, knock on wood. But the things are going good and Im still getting along with my comp and we always joke around. Its jsut crazy that this week is the last week of the transfer. So who knows if I get transfered or not. Elder Rowland thinks that him and I are getting transfered this time. But who knows. The language is coming but slowly, but Im getting enough confidence to talk to the members more and I usually have conversations with Rodrigo. But things are good and I am continuing to learn new things everyday. Its nice to hear from you guys and I love to read about the things that are going on.

Greetings from down south. Well things were interesting this week. We didnt get to work a whole lot this week due to two things. First we had zone confrence on Friday and then general confrence saturday and sunday. So much of our work time was shot, but oh well it was good. This week on news we have found some new families and are teaching them, but the best family we are teaching would be the Familia Ortega. They are pretty cool. we found the wife a while ago and are starting to teach the husband. I... the wife has came to church once and loved it, but they missed yesterday. But things are going good. We are finding new people everyday, but we are dropping people every once and a while. Andres missed out on comming yesterday. But we had one really good investigator come to church yesterday, Rodrigo´s mom. That was cool. She came with him and the whole ward from Perico. And she loved it. During the first session of sunday I guess she was crying and loved every moment of it. Her and Rodrigo both have lots of questions about confrence so we are meeting with them later this week to discuss them. But things are good here.

This week was filled with a bunch of different events. First was zone confrence. The confrence was good and I learned a lot. Most of it was on how to get investigators to church. And it was good to see some of the other missionaries and talk to president. And then that night we were calling in the numbers to the zone leaders and they decided to play a joke on me for april fools. They said that I was getting emergency transford to an area in tucuman on the following monday. they got me pretty good. And then we had confrence. I loved it. We were in San Salvador Jujuy, the capital of Jujuy, for it. It was good and exciting. It was pretty cool, because they had a english room for the missionaries. So I got to watch it in english. that was awesome. I love listening to it and I learned a tons. To me it sounded like they were focusing more on the families and the youth of the church. Which is good cause more and more things are comming into the world. I loved it and probably my favorite talk would be ether Elder Holland or Pres. Monson on priesthood. They were all amazing talks and I loved taking notes on it. And then we talked with Rodrigo and his mom about it and they both loved it. Rodrigo went to all sessions with us and loved them all. But that was basically this week for me.

For easter here they have egg, but not much of the easter bunny. That morming there was a pararde in front of our appartment. and the weird thing was the parade was for the virgen mary and not for christ. I thought it was pretty funny, that on this day we celebrate the resurection of Christ and they, the catholics, celebrate the Virgen Mary. And its weird that the cultures are completly different. For today we went to Palpala and took some pics with the sculptures. Palpala is a city about 30 min. from perico. And there are tons of little statues around the city. And then next week the zone leaders said that we might go to Humahuaca and see the sites. But thats what we have done. Its just crazy how fast time goes and that we only have two more weeks of this transfer. But thats that. But I still cant get used to everyday there is a ciesta from 1-5 in the afternoon. During this everyone sleeps, except for the missionaries, and it sucks sometimes to knock during this time. But oh well its the life down here. But I love it down here and look forward to everyday. I know that this church is true with all my heart and that we are here for a special reason and purpose. I love to see how the church changes the lifes of the people and how it is correct no matter what opposition it faces. I love it and Im so gratfull for this chance that I have to be here in Argentina. I love hearing from you guys and that you are all doing fine. Congarats Jake on winning Spirit Leader. Well hello from Perico. Things are going good for me down here, just staying busy. Things are going good with the investigators. We havent had to drop any lately, so that is good. And we keep finding some and they are mostly good. We are still teaching Rodrigo and his mom, and things are going good. But she says that she wants to do things on her own time, so thats always a tough thing. Yesterday we went over to Rodrigos house and talked with him about some of his questions. And most of his questions came from the fact that he looked up some anti-mormon stuff. But the fact that most of his family is Jehovas Witness and they are always trying to ruin the church. But oh well. So hopefully we cleared some of the stuff. But things are going good. We have a really good family that we are teaching. They are the Familia Ortega. And they are awesome. We first contacted the wife in the door and then last week we taught the husband and the wifes sister. It was an awesome lession and I felt that things went good. She came to church with their daughter but the husband and the sister had to work so that was a bummer. But this last week was good. We competed with all of out goals and had some extra also. For sunday we had 5 investigators show up so that was awesome. But things are going good the members are always willing to help, its just a matter of if they remember.

For life in Perico is pretty normal, other than this week is Holy week so we will see what will happen. We are still getting rain. On saturday night we had a huge storm and I didnt really fall asleep until 4 in the morning. And today seems like it might try to do something. But its good here just hot and humid as always. The weather is starting to drop but not by much. And they say that it doesnt start getting cold until the end of May sometime. But Im looking forward to that. So today we didnt really do anything. We cleaned the pinch for inspections and then went to the feria( were they sell everything) and went browsing for stuff. they have some pretty cool stuff. We found some Abercrombie stuff for 18 pesos, so four and a half dollars. So they have some pretty dang good deals on cloths. Today I bought a Harlem Gloabtrotters jearsy for 18 pesos. And they had an old Jeremy Shocky jersey when he played for the Giants for 18 pesos. So I thought of you Desi. But I didnt buy it. But thats what we did today. But for pdays we havent realy done anything. Last week we went to Jujuy central and went looking around at the stores. But for next week we are going to try to go to Palpala for some looking around.

Alright to awnser some questions. So when a member fodges us for lunch we either make something or buy some empanadas. For doing the weedly letter for you guys. There are cybers everywhre down here so thats where we go. and it would be nice to get Jazz reports. But I will try to send some pics. Sometimes the computers dont read the thing. So i will try. But it sounds like things are going good and are staying busy with everything. Tell Geana congrats on the wedding and good luck with everything. What a week! (dang no pictures!)

Well hello from down under and what a week it has been. This week was good and crazy at the same time. But everything is good and I’m still learning and progressing. Elder Donaldson and I are working harder and that’s always good. When we started the transfer we really didn’t have any lessons and now most of our days are filled. And I’m happy cause we are not knocking as much, which I like. But things are going good and it sounds like you are all doing well.

I guess I´ll start out by answering some questions. To do laundry we have a machine but it doesn’t work quite as well as the one in the states, but oh well. Oh and a cool fact is that we are one of the only missions that have them in South America. And then to dry them we have a little tiny dryer that doesn’t really work so we mostly air dry. Oh and what is your source of information about me. Oh and Elder Valdez is an elder from the MTC from my zone and Greg Downs was one of my teachers in the MTC. But I think that are some of your questions. So hopefully that helps, but things are good. The language is slowly coming and I’m getting more confident talking to people.

But things are going good with the people but could be better. We didn’t have anyone show up for church Sunday. But we are still teaching Andres, the one with the one leg, and Rodrigo’s mom. And Rodrigo’s mom still doesn’t know he is baptized. Which always makes it hard, but oh well. And most of the people we teach are the wives of the family and then when we meet the husbands they don’t want anything do deal with us, so that’s another thing we deal with. But things are good just hot and wet. The other day we had a good day and then the rest of the night was rain, and that sucked cause all the streets were flooded. And that’s always fun to deal with. Oh and the other day was the holiday for Perico for the Patron Saint, San Jose. That was different cause the catholic church set up speakers all around town and played music. It was weird cause they were broadcasting mass over the speakers.

But it sounds like you are all doing well and loving life. It’s good that you are all busy and staying well. Nice article in the paper Jake. Sounds like you had fun. Loved the photos of Jayson wrestling. Thanks. I love ya all and wish the best for ya.

Hola from down under. Greetings from good old Perico. Things are going good and we´re working hard. The beginning of this week was rough cause we didnt have anyone that we set up lessons with and so that is what we did for most of the week was finding and teaching those that we found. It feels like we knocked our whole area and we still dont have a lot but oh well. But things are good we have some new people that we are teaching and they seem to like the lessons. One of the families that we found is pretty cool and its weird cause they are almost they almost look like they are from Italy or somewhere over there. But they are a cool family. Things are progressing with Rodrigo and He loves talking with us. He actually said that he has a friend that would be interested in our message and his mom also is now wanting to listen, so its pretty cool. We have a meeting with them tonight so we will see how that goes.

Things are going good, just the same. time here didnt change during the time change so I dont know whats going to happen. The weather is hot and muggy and we havent had a lot of rain. The most rain we have had was this morning and that wasnt a lot. But the things are going good. Im getting used to the things down here a little better and am loving it. The language is coming slowly but surely. The biggest news that I heard this last week was that Elder Stott, my comp from the MTC, went home because he had knee problems and they wont let him go foriegn. So I guess its pretty bad then if they wont let him. So Im just hoping nothing like that happens to me, ojala. But things are good and Im getting to know elder Donaldson. Hes a good kid and loves to work. He has the some time as Elder Rose so 16 months. he is from a small town just outside of Park City called Coleville. But we get along pretty well together.

Well I dont know if I need anything from the states. I guess the thing I miss most is just being able to find things I need. But if you send a package send it through usps because it cheaper and faster and find ways to hide things if you do. But it sounds like everything is going good in your lifes and you are enjoying stuff there. It looks like Jake had a good time in DC, thanks for the pics. I will send pics next week of everything. But keep doing the things that you are doing and have fun. Jayson stay strong and wrestle hard. And Jake have fun with track. Im loving the letters you send and Ive gotten two more from grandma, thanks. But it sounds like you are all doing well and having fun. I love hearing from you guys and love reading the letters. Hola de Perico!

Well hello. Well it sounds like everything is going good and well in your lives and I love to hear it. Well trasnfers came and Elder Rose left this morning to go to Tucuman and I stayed here in Perico. My new comp is Elder Donaldson from Utah and so far he seems like a really good guy. But things are good and hot. The weather here has been hot and muggy and its weird cus Im not sweating as much any more but its still hot and we get up into the 90s everyday so far. But things are good. Well some exciting news is that we had a baptism this last weekend for Rodrigo and two others that the other elders had. But it was cool to have my first baptism on the last weekend of the transfer. It was nice and special for him and for me. He has made a lot of sacrifices to make the decision and he loves it. For example when we taught the Word of Wisdom he said he wanted to change right then and quit smoking and drinking that night. But its hard for him cause everyone around is either smoking or drinking so its hard but he is doing it. And then we started teaching his mom yesterday and she seems interested but is slow to act, so hopefully we can get here to listen.

Things are good and special things are happening. This last sunday Rodrigo wanted me to confirm him a member, so that was an awesome experience for me and for him. Its weird cause all the blessings you give in spanish have to be done in tú and we speak in ustead so its a change. But it was good and Elder Rose said that I did a good job so I was happy. But things are good and it sounds like you are all doing well. I guess to awnser some questions you have, my favorite food here would ether be empañadas or fried potato cakes with meat inside. They are really good and filling. But the most common thing I have eatan would be milanesa, which is like a chicken fried stake with out gravy and served with rice. Its good but gets really old really fast. A lot of the food is fried even some of the desearts. But they are good and hopefully I sweat of the pounds. But the food is good and rich sometimes. Yesterday we ate at a members house that is a chef. He´s not a practicing chef but he cooks at home like a chef. And yesterday we had beef and it was amazingly tender and jucie. One of the things was from the upper part of the leg and the other was from the underside of the ribs. And the way he cooks is good, sorry dad. But its weird how my eating habits have changed, like yesterday the meat was really bloody and it bled everytime you cut it and was really pink inside and I just ate it like normal and the other thing is that I can handle eating fat. Its wierd but good.

But enough of me. It sounds like you are good and staying busy and Jake way to go on standing up for the Church. In the states a lot of the people are stuck on their religion and dont want to change and just want to fight until they think they are right. But good job and keep having fun. Jayson have fun with wrestling and really have fun with the braces. And Ralph and Grandma thanks for the letters and grandma I got it last thursday. Buenos Dias!

Well hello and what a week it has been. I guess for starters address the earthquake. Im fine and it really didnt hit here in Perico and it kinda just felt like I was on a boat, it was kinda cool. But we were at our bishops house having lunch when we felt it and heard about it. But things are good Im fine just hot and tired. We have had a lot of rain but it has stoped for the last couple days. So its just hot and muggy. Its crazy how fast time goes by and that this is the last week of the transfer.

Things are good. We had two of our investigators come to church and hopefully we have a baptism this week. Rodrigo is the one that we hope that he gets baptised on saturday. But the trials for a starting to show them selves. He got a call from his doctor that he had over all of his papers and his doctor called him and said that he lost them and that he wasnt going to do it anymore. Its said and he is pretty bummed cause we was closer to having surgery and then that happened. So hopefully he can get things figured out before the week end. And its kinda hard cause he is in Jujuy for the next couple days and our next appointment with him is Wednesday. But he is a good guy and an amazing cook. Every time we go over there he has made something for us.

But things are going good and Im staying busy running around to appointments and finding new people to teach. Things are good. My comp and I did divisions this week with another companionship in Monterico. It was a good experience and I was with a Latino the whole time so it was good to work on spanish. But while we were doing divisions my comp found some people to teach and they are pretty cool. One is missing a leg and the other has tattoos all over his body. They are good people and really want to change and become better people. Its amazing how much faith some of these people have and that they are willing to give every thing to change sometimes. I learn something new everyday from the people here.

Things are good and Im loving it down here, other than the fact that I stick out like a sore thumb. Its kinda funny what names they have for me. The one I have heard the most is rubio which is Blondie. So its funny. I love it here and I love hearing about your life's. It sounds like your all doing well and working hard and enjoying life. Jake Im happy to here that you did good at state, and stay safe in DC. And Jayson have fun with the headgear. Oh and the money I took out was for me to buy personal stuff. So Im doing fine. Another week in Argentina

Well hello from down under.

Its sounds like you are all doing amazing with everything and are having fun. Congrats Jake for qualifying for state and I'm sure you will do awesome. Thanks for the pics I loved them and I love reading whats going on. By what you are saying it sounds like your staying busy and having fun. Well I guess to answer some of your questions. We did take a plane from Buenos Aires to Salta and then we took a bus from Salta to Jujuy and then a Remis to Perico. So that was a trip in of itself. And we just keep getting rain and rain and its just hot as hot. WE it rains it just doesn't sprinkle it pours and you get soaked just stepping outside. But its been nice other than the last couple days have been really hot again. But things are good.

Well the church decided to change the email system. They partnered with gmail to do it. So they gave me a new email so here it is jarret.wade@myldsmail.net. So theres that. So far its pretty nice and works pretty good. just got to get used to a new email thats all.

So for this week we kinda stayed the same in investigators and lost some that didnt want to change. We picked up a new one and his name is Rodrigo and is really loving the lessons and wants to change. The only problem other than smoking is that he cant read. He has a tumor in one of his eyes and his other eye is misshaped so it makes it really hard to read and some of the other stuff we normally do with investigators. But we got the Book of Mormon on CD for him to listen to and for lessons we sometimes watch movies with him. He is a really good guy and really wants to change. Other than that we are teaching one other family that is really nice and willing to do what we ask them to do, except come to church. But they are nice and listen to the lessons. Its kinda cool cause if Rodrigo goes to church this sunday and is willing to change he can be baptised right before the transfer. So thats what Im praying for. But things are going good. Nothing really big has happened this week just consistently shut down in contacts. I laughed when you talked about Seth´s adventures so far down in the Philippines. Cause I dont have to deal with huge bugs in my appartment, other than cockroaches and we normally kill them with some raid and then burn them with body spray and a lighter. And Im lucky enough to have a toilet with a seat. The only thing I had to get used to was the budea.

But things are good. Elder Rose and I are continually working and striving to be better. Its crazy how fast things go and how this transfer is almost done. Its gone by so fast and its been nice that way. I always love hearing from you and love seeing whats happining with life. I love ya all and I wish the best for you all. Week 3 From Argentina

Well Im sorry for not getting an email out last week. We had a lot of different storms here so while I was typing the power went out and I wasnt able to send so sorry. But other than that things are going good. We have had a lot of rain lately so we get pretty wet, so thats always fun. I havent seen any cars move because of the water but the roads flood. Things are good but could be better. Yesterday we actually lost investigators but then we found a new one. It kinda sucks cause we normally find the wifes of the family and then when we talk with the husband he doesnt want anything to do with us. Its sad but its how things work here in Argentina. For news today was a lazy pday. We didnt do anything so we just cleaned untill the water went out. So our pench is pretty clean but we dont have any water. But last week we went fishing and then ate the fish tuesday. They were just little guys and they were interesting to eat. The family gutted them and then deep fried them and then you eat them head and all. They werent bad just crispy. but the food here is good, I havent found anything crazy in the food yet. But the latest thing Ive eaten is potato cakes with meat inside covered with flour and then deep fried. Theyre pretty good just really filling. For the language I feel like it could be better but it is slowly coming. I found out that my comps mom is from northern utah and she went to bear river high. I dont know her name but her maiden name is scott and she is from fielding Utah and her parents own a dairy farm up there. My comps the yongest so his moms around Dan or Brians age. Other than that things are going good as usual. About the only crazy thing thats going on is Carnaval. It is huge and its one big party everyday except sunday cause "everyone goes to church." Its crazy there are a bunch of drunk people covered in paint running around. So at night we throw water at them. Its fun. My stomach is doing fine its just hard staying away from some of the fruit. It sucks but I just dont want to get sick so I will go with juices. But things are going good, we dont have any fetchas for baptism yet but we are working with our investigators about that. We found a kid last night named Manuel. He is 18 years old and kinda has the Joseph Smith story going on. He was raised catholic but then left cause he didnt like it and then just started going to other churches looking for something and hasnt found it. So he sounds good we just hope we can keep him. But things are good just got to get used to the heat and humidity. It is insanly hot and I feel like I melt everyday. But today is nice day its overcast with a slight chance that it will try to rain. So its not hot or muggy just nice.

I love ya all and I love hearing from you. I keep learning something new everyday and I love it. I started reading the book Lectures on Faith and I love it so far. I fits perfectly on what we are doing as a companionship this week. We started working on christlike attributes and the one we picked is faith. So it fits. I love it here and I keep meeting new and amazing people here. And they are willing and trying to help me learn spanish. Things are good and hard at the same time. and during the hard times I think of a scripture we share with some of our less actives the scripture is 1 Samual 12:24. i love it and it helps me realize what I need to do. Well hello from Argentina!Things are going amazing down here and I love it. Well to start I guess is that my first area is called Perico and a city just outside of Jujuy and two hours north of Salta. But things are going good. Staying busy all day long. My comp is Elder Rose from California and he has been here for just over a year. He is an amazing elder. Things are going good just trying to get used to the humidity. It feels as soon as I step out the door my cloths stick and it is just wonderful. The food here is good. I have ate a lot of chicken and potatoes and then today I had beef and rice. but they usually they deep fry the meat. The people are amazing and super friendly. They are mostly of Bolivian decent and they do speak with the costallan. My first night in Perico I taught part of the first lesson and I think Ive tought almost every lesson. Things are good. This place is beautiful. It is soooo green. The mountains(hills are covered with trees and bushes. It looks like a jungle its pretty cool. Today for Pday we went and met a family from Jujuy and worked with the husband with bees. I will send the pics next week. But it was a blast, we got to handle them and take tons of pics with them. President Northcut is awesome and super friendly. We took pics and they will send them to you as soon as I give them your email. So far everything is good and wonderful. its interesting cause we share a big water tank with another family that lives below us and sometimes they will take most of it and the water will shut off at sometime around 1030 or so. well I dont know what else to say other than why did we buy two suits I haven't used them since Ive been down here. And its too hot to wear them on Sundays too. But other than that things are good. Oh and Dad you would love it down here everyone drinks coke, sprite, or Fanta. Its pretty funny. Oh and I know why bob barker always said to spay and neuter your pets. Dogs are everywhere down here. I love it though and on Sunday the bishop made me get up and give my testimony. I thought it was good and I can see an improvement in Spanish. The people are humble, sometimes, it is definitely a third world country. its good though. I love ya guys and love hearing from ya. Just remember trust in the Lord with all your heart and persevere to the end and the he will help. I love everything and I am grateful for the things back home. Well hello again. To start off this last week has been realy cool and different. We got our flight plans on friday and things havent been the same since. But things are good just busy and trying to stay focused. This last week since we got pushed back an extra week our teachers have had us reviewing everything and going through everything with us. But for the TRC ( teaching appointment) our teachers gave us a tuff one. they have incorperating most of the lessons and teaching the Law of Chastity. So we will see how that goes tonight. But things are going good just the usual busy. Last night at the Devotional we had Elder Evans of the Seventy speak along with his wife. Elder Evans spent most of his talk focusing on the Book of Mormon. He was really pationant about and that kinda inspired me to focus more one the Book of Mormon and try to incorperate it more in teaching and even contacting. But other than that things are about the same other than I broke my shoe lace and the book store doesnt have any in. So I guess if you wanted to mom send me some black shoe laces to go with my docs. Other than that things are going good, just finishing up this last week. I guess to tell you my flight itenerary. We will leave the MTC at eight on monday and then we will fly out of Salt Lake a noon and then land in Dallas around 3:45 and we will have a four hour lay over in Dallas. So most likely I will call you from there. And then we will leave Dallas around 7:30 and arrive in Buenos Aires around nine in the morning. So hopefully that helps and hopefully I can remember your guys numbers, I think so. And do any of you know how to work the pay-phone, cause Ive never used one. So please send help! But ya so thats basically what Ive got to look forward to in the next couple days. I ran into ralphs nephew I think it was Justin but Im not sure. I havent seen Cameron yet but I will keep looking. I see Jake once and a while and he says that you always say to say hi through his sister. Oh well, Its crazy to think how fast time has flown by here. It doesnt seem that long ago I was being droped of and saying goodbye. I guess thats what happens when you really dont focus on the world. We'll see what happens in the next week. Our teachers keep telling us stories about their missions and everytime it makes we want to go out and start. But I love it here and Im going to miss it. But Im looking forward to leaving and actualy start what we have been learning. So hopefully my spanish is good enough just to have a decent conversation, but we will find out. Well hello and what a week. I cant believe that in just under two weeks Im going to be on a plane to argentina. Its kinda exciting just to know that its comming. So we should be getting flight plans this week and I will let you know when and where were flying. It sounds like you all are doing awesome. I love the letters and I look forward to everything you send. This last week has been pretty good just the usual busy. This week we have been focusing on refreshing little things in spanish and just polishing up on a couple things. Well for the devotionals this week we had awesome speakers. Sunday we had Richard I. Heaton (one of the missionary cordinators) and then yesterday we had Elder L. Tom Perry and his wife for the second time. I guess there is a thing with Elder Perry and our district. As of now a third of our district has shaken his hand. Cause last night Elder Stott and Hermana Peniata said the prayers. But his talk last night was about the basic prinicples of teaching in the church. And he said if we didnt have a testamony about them; we should probably get one now. He is such a powerful speaker. Also with him were a couple seventy, one was Elder Hinckley. So there we a lot of big people at the MTC for the last couple days. But things are good just crazy how time flies by here. This morning at the temple was amazing and its going to be said that next week is the last time we get to go to the temple for two years. But this morning was amazing. While doing a session I could definantly feel the spirit and how peacfull it was. But Im doing good and it sounds like you are all doing good.
